Thank you so much for sharing. Through your video I found that I was threading my thread through the eyelids to the rod for wrapping incorrectly thank you so much for being direct and straight to the point without a lot of Chit Chat

Right on time John, I have been looking for a video as such. I am building a wrapper out of PVC. Keep up the great work!

Thank you. 25 year AF veteran here. I am a little lost on how to us the slider
@reelbluecustomrods6 ай бұрын
Hey Doug, as you move down the wrap you can adjust the slider in the direction of your wrap instead of moving rhetorically while wrapper. I will make point to demonstrate what I’m takin g about during tomorrow’s Live Stream at 4:00 pm PST. Hope to see you there.

I have the same hand wrapper. I replaced the black spool tension knobs with wing nuts (like your setup) and it is much better 👍🏻

I started practicing wrapping today. But, first let me say, I have the same wing nuts you have and put them on, and I found that they tighten up, and I'm constantly having to loosen them. So, I went back to the black knob, which has that white teflon ring. This is what the black knob is for. It prevents the nut from backing off or tightening up. I would like to see your rod support stands. I'm using the ones that came with my kit.

I use CRB stands and they work perfectly. Also glad to hear that you started practicing with you wrapper. Thank you for watching and commenting.

The only option that I did to mine was I traded out the springs for magnets and really like the precision tension I get.

Is there a reason why the thread is passing under the spool instead over the spool? I'm new to this, and I just received the same wrapping station you have. In the box was a 1/2' piece of what looks to be hot glue stick. There is no information on this.

@@watermelongrin - yes, I like to run the thread from the bottom versus the top.

how much tension do you use?
@reelbluecustomrods2 жыл бұрын
Just depends on what I am doing. I do however tend to use a little more than needed sometimes.

How do you stop and start the thread?
@reelbluecustomrods11 ай бұрын
By wrapping the rod, but are you asking how to start the wrap on the blank?
