Super helpful! I somehow have my expression pedal acting as a global volume pedal even though I don't see it explicitly assigned to any blocks in my preset. I only want it to control my Wah but when the pedal is up it completely shuts off all volume. How can I unnassign it from controlling volume?

If I understand you correctly, you want this to be global, ie available in every preset? I'm not sure, since the SP1 has an output for expression and an output for the switch. I'll do some research, see what I can find

Hi Doug I'm using a mission EP-1 expression pedal into my Fractal FM9 turbo system ' the mission SP-1 or EP-1 expression pedal had two separate connection sockets ( For I'm thinking 2 TRS stereo tipped Jack connector cables) my question is- and I'm using with my FM9 an Additional FC-6 foot controller unit ) if I connect one TRS stereo cable to pedal 1 on my FC-6 ' where does the second stereo TRS lead go into ? Would I connect the second needed TRS stereo tipped Jack lead cable to pedal 2 ' or not ? Also on the rear of my FC-6 unit theres two separate switch " inputs ( 1+2 and 3+4) when would I need to be using those switch connections ' do I also have to complete the calibration process setup by using the FM9 edit

If you have a newer SP-1 like mine, you have to use a TRS cable for both jacks,and the 2nd cable should get plugged into Pedal 2 on the FC-6. The Switches inputs are for external switches. I use 2 Mosky dual switches with mine, and I have them set up to go to Presets, Scenes, Effects 1 and Effects 2. Yes, you'll have to use calibrate your pedal, but not with FM9 Edit. You do that from the front panel of the FM9. Hope that all makes sense!

Hi - you can have up to 4 of the FC units connected, either FC-6 or FC-12. FC #1 refers to the first FC pedal that you have connected. In my case it's my FC-6. Hope this helps!

Click on the Wah block. Right-click on Control, which should bring up the Edit Modifier panel. "Off Value" should be 5%. Hope this helps!

How to setup Boss EV-5 expression pedal on TMP. Dial on EV5 at 0 or 10. How to set up Toe Switch on TMP with Boss FS5-L on TMP. Polarity switch which way, toward centre or towards outside. Simple operation for an engineer. For guitar player, not so simple.

Dial at 0, because that's your "minimum volume" on the Boss EV-5. The Boss FSL-5 uses a standard 1/4" guitar cable, which would plug into the Toe Switch jack. If it's set to the wrong polarity, it will register on the upstroke, not the down stroke. Most of the time it will still work and be fine. So the easiest thing to do is try it in both positions and then use the one that you like. Good questions!

It took some digging, but from what I found you have to do it via the front panel. This is one of the rare times where Axe-Edit III can't help.

I thought an expression pedal could be assigned to every effecr for each preset? For example for preset 6 assign expresdion pedal to distortion level etc. Is it not possible ? Only volume and wah ?

It's absolutely possible. That first example showed how you could use an expression pedal as a wah. You can use it for other functions (and blocks) as well. The wah isn't global; it's in quite a few presets, but not all of them. Thanks for the question!

So far, so good! BUT, I have a Mission EP1 with the spring in it, so the heel position is supposed to be the "bypass" mode. Unfortunatly, after connecting it to my FC6, "bypass" is toe position and I cannot change it. It works really great but due to the default position "heel" the wahwah does not go into bypass. Do you have an idea?

Try this - in any preset, go to your wah block, right click on Control. This should bring up the 'Edit Modifier' panel.Take a look at "Off Value". If it is at 5% (default value) change the "Off Value" to 95% . If "Off Value" is already at 95%, try changing it to 5%. One of those should work for you. Good luck!
