great video. some people ask were to put the handlebars with regard to coming more in or further away (not height wise- length wise). what is the guideline?
@StudioSWEATonDemand5 жыл бұрын
That is the last position to adjust. First, make sure the rest are all correct. Then, adjust the reach for comfort and proper upper body extension. A slight bend in the elbow indicates a proper fit. It's more about comfort.
@scotttownley50764 жыл бұрын
Good pointers. Question. Do you consider the knee over the pedal and not over the ankle on a spinning Bike? Thanks.
@catkom81324 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott. Can you further clarify your question?
@scotttownley50764 жыл бұрын
@@catkom8132 sure. When I did long distance road cycling. When you got custom fitted for the bike they used a string with a weight. They hung of from the bone on the outside of your knee. When the weight on the other end hung at the side of your foot it was exactly over the center of the pedal. This made sure your knees would nit get blown out from cycling. Thus. The knee over pedal concept.
@catkom81324 жыл бұрын
@@scotttownley5076 I understand. I usually aim more for knee over where the laces would be. I does depend on the rider's mobility when it comes to Spinning. I think it can range from a 90 degree angle (when knee is right over ankle ususally) at the knee to a slight acute angle where the knee is more during the outdoor fitting you're describing. In that small range though.

Do you put any weight through your arms when on the handlebars?
@anne-lauriegenest46294 жыл бұрын
Jake M Usually, there should me no weight on the handlebars! The weight is on the bottom (seat/tights). You don’t want to lean foward and put all your weight on the handlebars, also when yoûre standing on the bike. The handlebars are there to keep your balance essentially. I’m open to learn if somedy thinks I’m wrong :)
@anne-lauriegenest46294 жыл бұрын
And sorry if my english is not perfect
@StudioSWEATonDemand4 жыл бұрын
Anne-Lo is mostly right. You have to put a tiny bit of weight into them, but just enough to keep balanced. You should keep the majority of your weight over the pedals and saddle.

how can u fix the vibration of the bike
@catkom81326 жыл бұрын
That could be caused be several issues so without opening up your bike it's hard to say. You should get annual check ups of your bike by an fitness equipment tech so look one up on yelp. They'll help troubleshoot for you.
@brauljo5 жыл бұрын
Unless her foot has unusual proportions, she doesn't have the ball of her foot over the spindle of the pedal. It's typically closer to the widest plane of the shoe since the ball of the foot is the widest plane of the foot. Either way, this is a long held misconception, as the foot needs to be supported by both ends of its arc at the mid foot. It creates an issue of toe overlap for some types bikes, but that is never a problem for spin bikes.

You said “the goal is” but did not explain why the handlebars should be the same height as the seat so that your leaning forward. Why?
@StudioSWEATonDemand5 жыл бұрын
Well, to be honest, the goal should more be to ride comfortably without injury right! The thing is that if you're doing a proper job hinging forward from the hips for most that is the height that allows you to keep your back and shoulders relaxed.

you actually have her too high.... if you want your people to have a better work out and more power to the petal, I would put her up a bit higher. You actually do not sit on the bike with a flat back at all.... YOu are trying to be like a circle or a wheel where you are the top half like.... I would like for you to show me one road rider that rides with a flat back..... I would definitely suggest working on your own form on the bike before setting others up....
