How To Have More Discipline
Step number one is to set your mind.
Okay, just kind of set our mind flow. Well, you need to set our mind. So let's look at this. In the book of Daniel. Everyone's familiar with the fact that Daniel was challenged. You know, he was taken into captivity as a youth. And his parents had instilled in him God's word. He knew God's word. He knew what was right in God's eyes. He knew how to call upon the Lord. He knew how to depend on the Lord. He had the right mindset or the right mind flow. And so when a crisis came, all he had to do is claim it I and it says, Daniel set his mind to do this. He already had it in his mind. He needed to do it and now he set his mind.
What is the discipline that you are now going to step into. You are now going to intentionally add into your life. Okay, so number one is set your mind to do it. Now, if I set my mind to not eat a certain food and then I go to a restaurant that's their primary food, I truly didn't set my mind to it • 5 Ways to Honor Your B...
Step number two to gain spiritual disciplines is set your action plan.
Go ahead and either write it out in your daily journal somewhere. Write it out in paper on paper. What is your action plan? So if your action plan is, I want to memorize more scripture, okay, then what is your plan of action? Are you going to do one verse per month? That would be fantastic. That's 12 verses a year. You know, I know some people do one verse every week. Well my mind doesn't do that. So one verse per month, you will have it, you will have it down and it will be solidified in your mind.
Step number three for achieving Christian discipline is set up for success.
God has given you cells that respond to the words God loves me. So all of this paints a picture that you were set up to expect God to work in your life, to work in your body and to do well within you. You know? So here's how you can set up for success every night. Go through your journal and record how well you followed your new discipline. Most importantly, never ever give up • Video
Set yourself up for success, expecting great things. I want you to set yourself up for success. I want you to start expecting results. I want you to start expecting the victorious life that God promises. • How to Trust God - 3 S... Praise the Lord for your accomplishments. You know, in proverbs 30:25 it talks about the ant, and right now I'm outside and there's actually a lot of answers around here. Actually there's even one on the page that I'm trying to read to you, which is why God brought it to my, and it says, the ants are not a strong folk, but they prepare their food in the summer. What this verse is talking about. When we are in season, we need to be busy because there's going to come a time when we may not be able to start setting up these disciplines right now is the season to get these disciplines set up in your life and to intentionally and expectantly follow them.

Coming from a man who has been celibate for over 6 years now, I really see how over exaggerated some of the so-called "pleasures of life" can get. Takes a lot of discipline to avoid fake friends, gossip, and m&m cookie cake all at the same time! 🙂 Thank you kindly, and have a wonderful day!

God whispered to me some years back- I was feeling terrible, and I was beginning to show it. One day, I needed to do something and I heard "The more you do, the better you feel, the better you feel the more you do." Now, I'm 40 pounds lighter, and I can bend my knees, bend over and not feel like I'm going to pass out when I stand back up. My new discipline then was to cook at home. We didn't go on a "diet". I simply started changing one thing here, and another there. Now, I'm way past cooking at home, baking our bread. I'm grinding our wheat and and other grains. THIS is fun!

I was doing really well in the fall with your challenge to give up sugar and I even went down a pants size. However, I totally let go of my progress during Christmas. This video is exactly what I needed to hear today. I need to give up sugar, and stay off sugar. Thank you for the encouragement to not give up. Now is the season!

I want to be physically stronger!!! I’ve always been pretty strong but last spring I hurt myself and ended up having two different surgeries and right before that m mother passed away so it was a very challenging year needless to say I had planned on continuing to work a couple more years but decided to just retire. I love not having to go into work I’ve worked all my life and I always said I’m going to work until God had other plans for me!! Well he told me loud and clear RETIRE!!! lol. I had went out to a friend’s house and was hand digging a new garden spot we had decided to each have bigger gardens last year but it messed up my joints!! They were on their way out anyway but going hard at it hastened the problem. So her I am 63 years old getting my ss and feeling weaker than ever before. My faith is strong but my body is the weakest I’ve ever felt. I’m a nurse and I’ve worked in rehab many times so I know it’s going to take me to do the work on my own. I’m definitely going to continue my gardening lol just not so hard this year and I look forward to that being my excercise . I knew not going to work would probably make me not as strong physically. Sorry for going on and on ! I really enjoyed your advice and will be working in that❤ oh and I absolutely love hearing the sounds of summer in the background ❤we’ve got about 4” of snow in the ground and the temperature last night was negative 4 with a wind chill. So looking forward to warmer days and lots of sunshine ☀️

I too am retired and 63. I’m trying to work on getting my body stronger to.. I didn’t realize that when I wasn’t working anymore as a medical assistant at my body would go downhill so bad. There’s so many things I wanna do and I just don’t have the strength or energy to do them.

Thanks Annette! It's a topic that may not be very popular, but it's well worth the effort. It sounds like many people struggle with discipline and consistency. Me too! I need to realize that when things interrupt my flow, that I can get back to it and try again. (Time management has become more difficult when I am dealing with a lot of changes and also extra physical or emotional pain) That's why it's important to start out with an easily done goal and work to be regular/consistent, making this new good thing a daily step/habit. Plus it's so good to have friends that are setting good examples around us, and encouraging us to pray, read and memorize Bible verses, share our testimony, exercise, eat healthy, and more! ❤

Thankful for this encouraging video. You are always so tonic. I'm having a hard time being consistent. I get discouraged easily. I mean EASILY. I bruise easily. I think, no I know I need a lot of healing. Emotional healing. I need strength. I find that I feel emotionally and a little physically heavier than I want to be and now I have back problems. So it's so hard for me to keep my morning routine...I just feel like discouraged lot. I've always been quick and fast...walking and being mobile and up and going and pretty athletic...and now I'm having such a hard time to get up in the morning... Oh and I forgot about a nerve that's bothering me all the way down on my left leg especially at night.

God IS in control, but He has given us free will. Someone I know says that we still have earthly ramifications for our choices/actions. So if we choose to ignore what we know about food and toxins and still eat unhealthy, then the earthly ramifications is bad health. Just like if you mentally know of Jesus, but never surrender your life to Him as your Lord and Saviour, then the ramifications is going to hell (I know, not really earthly ramifications...). But God isn't going to step in and still let us go to heaven if we choose to ignore His Word and not trust in Jesus. Just like He isn't going to step in and give us good health if we are eating bad stuff continually! I saw a hilarious meme, of someone praying and asking God to bless the food to their body....as there was junk food in front of them...😂 I'm sorry if my comment is offensive to someone, but this is my personal views. 🤷‍♀️

Our Lord Jesus is not the God of confusion. When you say we need to not have a mindset, but a mindflow... then your 1st step is to have a mindset that is ridiculous and confusing. I am now unsubscribing from your channel.

She could have quite possibly said the wrong word by accident.... I agree that God is not a God of confusion, but using that as an excuse to unsubscribe from her channel is a little harsh. I have been watching her channel for quite some time and have not found anything contradictory as yet.🤷‍♀️ she has a ton of incredible knowledge, and I'm sure you could still gain a lot from her. 🙂
