How To Have More Discipline
Step number one is to set your mind.
Okay, just kind of set our mind flow. Well, you need to set our mind. So let's look at this. In the book of Daniel. Everyone's familiar with the fact that Daniel was challenged. You know, he was taken into captivity as a youth. And his parents had instilled in him God's word. He knew God's word. He knew what was right in God's eyes. He knew how to call upon the Lord. He knew how to depend on the Lord. He had the right mindset or the right mind flow. And so when a crisis came, all he had to do is claim it I and it says, Daniel set his mind to do this. He already had it in his mind. He needed to do it and now he set his mind.
What is the discipline that you are now going to step into. You are now going to intentionally add into your life. Okay, so number one is set your mind to do it. Now, if I set my mind to not eat a certain food and then I go to a restaurant that's their primary food, I truly didn't set my mind to it • 5 Ways to Honor Your B...
Step number two to gain spiritual disciplines is set your action plan.
Go ahead and either write it out in your daily journal somewhere. Write it out in paper on paper. What is your action plan? So if your action plan is, I want to memorize more scripture, okay, then what is your plan of action? Are you going to do one verse per month? That would be fantastic. That's 12 verses a year. You know, I know some people do one verse every week. Well my mind doesn't do that. So one verse per month, you will have it, you will have it down and it will be solidified in your mind.
Step number three for achieving Christian discipline is set up for success.
God has given you cells that respond to the words God loves me. So all of this paints a picture that you were set up to expect God to work in your life, to work in your body and to do well within you. You know? So here's how you can set up for success every night. Go through your journal and record how well you followed your new discipline. Most importantly, never ever give up • Video
Set yourself up for success, expecting great things. I want you to set yourself up for success. I want you to start expecting results. I want you to start expecting the victorious life that God promises. • How to Trust God - 3 S... Praise the Lord for your accomplishments. You know, in proverbs 30:25 it talks about the ant, and right now I'm outside and there's actually a lot of answers around here. Actually there's even one on the page that I'm trying to read to you, which is why God brought it to my, and it says, the ants are not a strong folk, but they prepare their food in the summer. What this verse is talking about. When we are in season, we need to be busy because there's going to come a time when we may not be able to start setting up these disciplines right now is the season to get these disciplines set up in your life and to intentionally and expectantly follow them.
