Dear Lewis: I just knew Daniel would be one of the best people to ever have on your podcast!! I was literally responding to some of his comments and verbal ‘illustrations’ the same way you were!! I’ve seen him progress over the years in PBS fund drives they have especially at Christmas and Spring time, but now his content and information is much more detailed and honed and humorous. You two were so good together together, and it was good to see Dr Amon in a different setting where he just talked one on one as if talking to a best friend. This sucked me in: felt like you two were talking directly to Me!! Thankful for you, Lewis and for this precious meeting!! Artist: LindaRaeRamsey

Well, he didn’t mention what gods he prays to. Nor did he tell us what his prayers were. Nor did he describe any benefits of believing in supernatural man-made entities. Some Quick notes from my listening to this interesting subject to keep the brain happy and healthy .... Exercise, sauna - do something you like, create loving relationships, eat green leaves, broccoli, kale, fruits, berries, vegetables plant rich whole food, beets, wild salmon, heering, olive oil, avocado keep learning and do something you love - avoid processed food, any alcohol is associated with cancer and smaller brains - and remember if you do something that is bad for you do something that detoxify and is good for you

I had multiple concussions playing girl’s soccer in the 90’s before anyone knew that head injuries could severely affect the brain. I would love to raise awareness because “psychiatric illness/mental illness is literally a brain illness, like any other physical illness. I’ve been told to “get over it”, way too many times in my 40 years on this planet. It is about nutrition, supplementation, exercise, talk therapy, meditation/prayer/faith, environment, and if necessary medication.

You may be able to contact any of Dr. Amen's 9 US clinics or through his website to see if you can arrange to send your brain scan results to him for a personal evaluation. He may be willing to see & meet with you via a telemedicine office visit using video conferencing over the internet. Especially now during the pandemic & for those who are too sick or disabled to travel for an in-person office visit. You are fortunate to live in Canada where I understand your country provides free medical care to its citizens. I would have to personally pay about $10,000 to have a PET scan done on my brain, which I can not afford. Since neither medicare nor my private health ins. company would not cover the cost because it is so expensive & not deemed a medical necessity. It shouldn't cost you anything to get more info. & contact them over the Internet. I wish you good luck & well wishes from the U.S. God bless you & take care.

@@lewishowes Lewis you are amazing interviewer, I called Dr. Amens office to inquirer, here in Miami, or Florida there are no clinics, I asked when is it he will open one, I would love to work for him. My name its not Any Howe, its an alternate, but I like that its almost like your last name Howes. Hey, dont worry about your mind other than what you eat, you show the signs of a Beautiful Mind.

Lewis,Your “”SCHOOL OF GREATNESS” makes me 🤔 think that after all these years having lived 3/4 of a century brings me back school learnings since kinder to elementary, secondary to college/ university, yet my “personal growth “continuously develops as I watch your vlog most of the day, so having these wonderful/ inspiring personalities or people as guests in your show is really “noteworthy” keeping my “BRAIN” sharp & keen pretending as if I ‘m back in “school” one more time!Sending you to”SIR WITH ❤️ LOVE”!bebluilar

My husband was electrocuted at work as an electrician, 26 years ago. He was dead for almost 7 minutes, before he was revived by the defribulators. But he was left with brain/head injury due to the lack of oxygen. I can't wait to show him this video because the doctors told him that his brain would age prematurely.(that when he's 45, his brain would act as if it was 65). I kept trying to tell him that the specialists did NOT know much about our brains, in the nineties, they know so much more, now. Thanks for the great conversation!

I agree, his brain can recover. Intermittent fasting, healthy fats, virgin olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, wheat germ oil etc can definitely heal your brain.

Understanding this is a couple years old. I was seeing a phy in Folsom CA and once I started talking about dealing with the serial killer in our family she refused to see me any longer. It was like a slap in my face. I was there to get help and pretty much got thrown out. So, Ive not seen a phy since as Its very difficult opening up and whamoo, no help.

One of your guests said sleep apnea/ snoring can be helped by gargling daily or singing, to strengthen the muscles related.
