Achim I know this has been posted a long time ago but I view your videos as a reference guide before I start my classes. Thank you for producing them.

Totally agree, I've been a Sidemount diver now for 5 years and wouldn't use anything else. But i only dive warm clear waters and recreational for me it works. Loads of adjustments and I'm still making them. Good video

From experience I agree with your statements on small changes makes a world of difference. I been trained by Alain Dobbelaere, Tom Steiner and Garry Dallas. Each time they suggested a small changes that had a big impact on the way my XDeep feels. I really like ISE. Thanks for making these movie clips.

Good videos. Glade your trying to get people to think instead of mindless followers. Those types will always get into trouble diving. I started side mount because of my lower back pain. I had to change were the weight was on me, and my setup has the weight on my hips and legs instead of my back. Makes me very streamlined too. From the start I went from a 10 lt steel tank to a 7 lt steel for the same dive with more reserve on exit. I even have a good friend that I got hooked in one dive to sides. Now we both just dive side mount. We are only diving open water, but the advantages leaves back mount far behind for us. I have also tried a lot of different configs and settings before sorting out my current one.

Hahaha yeah I came here to see your side mount setup to no avail but enjoyed your thoughts on the theory of sidemount and understand better that it will take a bit more work to fit my sidemount to me.

Helpful discussion on sidemount and the air share issues. New to this but wonder what you think of Unified Team Divers solution of adding a switch block linking the two tanks to maintain DIR consistency in sidemount (so you always breathe or donate the longhose)?

Love your videos, thanks. Question. I am about to start to use a 7litre 300 bar tank with 2100 litres of air, as a stage cylinder to increase my dive time. I have a 15litre 232 bar cylinder on my back with 3,300 litres of air. This will give me a total of 5,400 litres of air. Is it possible to let my dive computer know I have more than one cylinder? I could tell my dive computer that I have a single 20litre cylinder with 270 bar. I have a Suunto ion core with a tank pod on my 15L cylinder. I will use Nitrox 32 in both cylinders. My max depth is 35m. Keep the videos coming and thanks again. Best regards. Terence W. In the U.K.

You are a clever fella,I don't understand why you don't just say that the side mount is better in almost every way and angle than the back mount. The truth is that it requires a bit more setup and adjustment.Have a good day.

What do you think about sidemount in open water and rec divies? Personally, for me BM is simple but SM give me more freedoom feels with no more than 2 tanks.

Sorry! I overlooked the comments section on another video where you said you did not want to discuss the UTD system... I apologize.
