Finally, even though I am using the HD60X, a tutorial that actually tells me how to set it up. There are so many videos dodging how to set everything up and just talk about how it works. All though I am not sure how to get my audio to work because I am using a laptop as a streaming PC that has 1 port and I do use a goxlr. It does say HDMI audio, so unsure.

hands down the best video I've found for actually getting my audio to convert over to my streaming pc. Only question I have is: Is it possible to have multiple audio channels? Like have my discord coming through one channel, my mic coming through another, the game audio in another, etc. With these tools, All audio is on one channel.

The audio portion of this could have been handled better. One, go xlr goes to streaming or gaming pc. Being that you can route audio from your gaming to your streaming and back using the line in and outs on the goxlr connected to your gaming rig. Two, what audio inputs do you choose from your streaming pc? Needs a bit more depth

For all those that own a HD60 Pro that goes directly into your motherboard, this process does not work with a laptop being your 2nd 'streaming' system, HD60Pro only works with other PC's. Learned this the hard way.

You can trust the legitimacy of these guys because libstream09 has a full fan shoveling tons of air through his room (regardless of how quiet it is it's still a fan that pushes air thru the air which will interfere with sound quality) yet he has perfect audio 😭🙌🏻

Everything is great until the last step at 6:45. I go to my streaming PC and pull up video capture device and there is no option for the Elgato HD 60. I have an HDMI from GPU to "IN" on the Elgato and the uspc from the Elgato into usb on the streaming pc. The only difference I have from your settings is I just have my main screen and the Elgato screen extended. What am I missing?

Yes, i did it before with combination PC - Macbook (but with an Avermedia in between). Also used Streamlabs, but think that is quite the same.

I am curious about this too.. 2 weeks later. I know this video is 2 years old but it seems to still be relevant for setting up a dual pc setup. I just got my dads old pc set up and connected to our router with a cable like my gaming pc is, but haven’t tried connecting the two together directly yet, and I’m using one monitor with a KVM switch to swap between using them when needed.

Maybe I missed something, but the part where you hooked the dslr into a cam link, looks like you would need one capture card for the dslr, and another to stream your game footage. Is that correct? If so, maybe there is a capture card with multiple inputs.

How can I hear the audio through the gaming pc? If I select the capture card audio output all the audio go through the capture card and I can’t hear the main pc, if I select my headset as output the gaming pc audio is not transmitted to the streaming pc.

Think of a dual pc as two completely different set ups that work independently. All your audio/mic’s should be connected to your stream pc. After that on your gaming pc you change your audio output to your capture device . Then on your streaming pc you set audio output and mic to whatever you just plugged in and set them to default communication and audio via sound properties

I know this is a year old but I want to throw out there if you buy the avermedia live gamer ultra capture card you can duplicate your monitor instead of extending and won't need obs running on your gaming pc. You helped me setup my mic though so thank you so much

The problem is connecting the elgato, to desktop to the gaming laptop (stream laptop) and getting sound from the desktop.

**So let me simplify this and tell you why i have a minor problem** (i have a laptop) ... HDMI to Capcard - - Capcard to Laptop - - Mirror Image in NVidia.... Simple right? It works well for me and my stream looks beautiful. My problem is my main PC starts to act weird now that its reading a second display. When my laptop turns off my main screen flicks on and off. Certain things seem enlarged. And Alt-Tabbing out of games and A LOT of other stuff are now weird cause my GPU is trying to share 2 images of 1 thing. Essentially its pretty buggy but it DOES work. How do i fix all those problems?

Don’t use nvidia to duplicate. Watch the video and you will see that you use obs to send your display to your capture card

Question: Would this type of setup theoretically work in a PC + Macbook Pro setup? With the PC being the dedicated streaming station, and the Macbook Pro being where I do my music production/DJing. Theoretically speaking yes, through the MacBook, you can download what basically allows you to use windows 10. I’m not sure of the process, but my roommate would game on a Mac, using that set up to allow him to run steam easier, so again, at the very least you can run it that way.

The setting in obs on the gaming pc is set so you can do a fullscreen preview of one monitor (your gaming monitor) on a different specific monitor (i.e. the capture card), which then your stream laptop picks up

I got it working last night. The audio was was finicky but did get it working with voicemeeter. I piped audio through my headphones + HDMI port. Use the VBAN (in voicemeeter) to network the microphone over to the streaming laptop.

You can set obs on the gaming PC to listen to both your mic and desktop audio through the HDMI of the capture card. It's a setting in obs for monitoring the audio, and make sure it's set to capture card as monitor device. No extra software to configure or worry about
