I don't have this exact ASUS router, but one close to it. I got the RT-AX55. I couldn't get it to connect, so ended up going back to the internet provider's router so I can search for a video to see what I did wrong. Finding a video that shows how to connect wasn't easy, but came across this one. I was doing exactly what this video showed, but it wasn't connecting. So for me, this is going to be a $240 piece of trash sitting on my shelf doing nothing.

Hi, I recently moved into a new apartment and the apartment was already setup with a wifi router inside the room and all I had to do was call the number and get my internet service bought, and I did. I also have a gaming PC and I wanted to use Ethernet for the first time so I bought a cat6 cable and plugged it into the router and then into my pc, and I havent noticed a difference in speeds even though the cable is rated for 1 gbps, so my question is can I buy an asus modem, plug it into my existing wifi router and then plug an ethernet cable into the asus modem and run it to my pc?

You will need to run an ethernet cable from the ISP equipment to your router. There is something walled Wireless Distribution System which supposedly allows you to connect a wifi access point to another router wirelessly but it is hit or miss in terms of performance and even just working.

The Router I bought is TUF AX3000 V2 ,the ISP registered the MAC Adres from the Router and with automatic it didn't conect, I tried AutoIP it was the same. With Fest(static) IP I registered the IP ,Submask,etc. given me from the ISP, but it was the same. They connected a TP-Link and it connected to the Internet automatically. So what's the Case ,is there any way to comect the Asus Router directly to the cable from the ISP without using an additional Router from my ISP ? Because in case withe Ping with the additional router and the Asus Router as second device that is an extra Hop point that I don't want to have?
