find a led power supply , you can adjust voltage to 14 .5 with those and you can generally have more power and they r cheaper .

You're definitely right. Whenever I upgrade my setup and need more power those power supply's can have great value . Thanks for the recommendation.

@@thr0nic i tried an atx with a light bulb , when you switch off for a moment it sends high voltage to the bulb . same power led supplies are like half the price and there r 500 watt ps , which actually is not needed at home setups , i use a 200 w now and speakers can not take more than 100 rms anyway .

Amazing and it makes sense

Hey bro do you have a link to the power supply, and also definitely love the video

Thanks for the support I really appreciate it! This is the PSU I used in the video: thermaltakeusa.com/products/smart-500w-ps-spd-0500npcwus-w I now use an EVGA 650 watt PSU for a bit of extra power: www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=100-N1-0650-L1

Very inefficient tho. The pc power supply converts AC to DC at about a 20% loss. Then the amp converts that DC back to AC at about another 20-40% loss. Using a 1000watt power supply youd only have roughly 500-600watts max power at the cost of 1000+ watts being pulled from the wall.

what else would you recommend?

@Kau001 get a home audio setup! A home audio receiver can be had used on marketplace for under $20 if you aren't interested in stuff like Atmos.. if you just want audio basically any receiver will work from since the 1970s and people basically give them away. If you do want newer tech like atmos/DTS decoding and it to have 4k60/120 HDMI then you'll need to look into newer receivers that have those features. Your car audio speakers will still work as is,but a receiver won't be able to power the subs,so then you can get a home audio sub with a built in amp.again if you aren't picky they can be found on marketplace for $50 or less for a 10"-15". Or you can get a home amp,but those aren't as common used.

@@thr0nic no your run of the mill 80 bronze spec is at least a wasted 20% and gets worse the higher the power supply is loaded. That 80% is only good up to around 50% or less load.more then 50% load and the efficiency starts to fall off a cliff and depending on its build quality can get down to 35-50%..this is why most people buy a much larger power supply then is really needed.. Basically if you have a 1000watt power supply and you load it at 500w it's going to pull around 600watts out the wall. But if you use that same PS and load it at 800w it's going to pull around 1100-1300watts!! This is why using car audio in a home audio environment is extremely wasteful. You are converting AC TO DC with the PC power supply at a loss of atleast 20% min THEN the amp is converting DC BACK INTO AC with at least another 20-40% loss depending on the amp,it's stupid..It would be less wasteful to use a car battery with a wall charger, but even that is going to waste some power. just go buy some home audio amps and be done with it!! Gezz maybe like $50 on marketplace if you search around a bit .

@thr0nic experimenting around with it isn't a big deal, hell plenty of times a PC power supply is a fantastic and cheap way of getting 12v in a home environment. but this guy clearly is using this as his full time home audio setup, and it's just silly to be making videos including it. It's not cool it's not hip and it just shows ignorance and laziness.. Tons and tons of used home audio equipment out there, and most of the time people are practically giving it away..

If you have an android phone you can use usb-C to rca to connect to the amp
