Love your videos! I just got into thermal hunting. One thing I like about using a tripod for hunting is I use a Ram Mount to hold my E-caller remote control. One less thing to be hanging from my neck. It also keeps the glow of the screen pointed back not shining forward to the yotes.

Good video. I'm just getting into yote hunting with thermal. I've been using a buddies bts 35 but I'm going with the clip on. I think I can get more use out of it. Any thoughts??

Hello Vince, Generally, when we are hunting Coyotes, we have found that scanning with handheld thermals to maximize the field of view is best. It also safer if you are hunting with multiple people, you do not have to fumble with the rifle at all using this method. Once we locate the Coyote, we transition to our rifles that are mounted on tripods, locate the Coyote in the scope, then take the shot.

I just put my thermal scope on my Christian MPR it was on a AR platform but I wanted to change things up what caliber Christiansen are you using ? I have the exact same rifle but chambered in 223 I’m still Learning and I keep questioning myself if I chose the right caliber but then again in South Dakota where I live you cannot use thermal or night vision with a cartridge bigger than 225 but do you think I will be fine with the 223 for coyote thanks for the info in the video.

You can be very successful with a .223. Lot's and lot's of people use them for coyotes and predators.
