I cannot get steam VR to run in a window like you can. It's always full screen and then I can't select that window to send it to my headset. Can you please help? Windows+Shift+(Right or Left) does nothing.

I am honestly not sure what would cause the shake. It is possible that your PC is having trouble keeping up and the lag looks like shake?

Did you get the proper version of Flyinside? You need the Prepar3D version of Flyinside and it should work.

Hi! I keep on getting the message "FlyInside requires Desktop Composition (Aero) in order to run. Please enable Desktop Composition and try again. Aero requires an Aero-compatible theme to activate. I cannot understand why it is doing this, aero themes are enabled, I've even tried enabling it from services.msc and regedit

Are you using Acceleration? I am not sure what version of FSX you have but it requires Acceleration or newer in order to work properly. Let me know if you have any problems... thanks for watching!

JRaeGames Hi! Thanks for the reply! Yes using acceleration sp2, could it be that it is a windows problem? i am using windows 7 - i read somewhere that it disables aero when there are multiple monitors on extended desktop display

Hi again, it worked finally :) - I installed windows 8 and the problem with desktop composition + aero theme disappeared so fly inside worked. I am really impressed with the quality, thanks for the instructions!

This sequence might be helpful for people trying to use PSVR for FSX Acceleration / X-Plane 11: 1. Ensure Resolution of monitor is at 1920x1080 2. Connect PSVR and switch on (usb and HDMI to PC) 3. Run Trinus and start the emulator, PSVR is detected as another monitor set as extended desktop display 2 (left or right of monitor - display 1) 4. Run Steam VR 5. Send the Steam VR to display 2 (windows button + shift + left arrow (if display 2 is left of display 1) / right arrow (if display 2 is left of display 1) 6. Run Flyinside (it seems to first have to detect the graphics card, you confirm the detection and have to restart it again for it to run FSX Acceleration). - If windows 7 is being used and the Aero Desktop theme error comes up, seems like the only way to bypass this problem is installing Windows 8 or 10 instead

It sounds like it is all related to your SteamVR issue from before.

Thx for sharing. I've tried but it's a pain ... The screen is upside down, in the back but never in the front lol. The worse is that my mouse is becomes inactive whe Flyinside start

Very strange... sounds like a glitch with the software. When you calibrate your headset, try turning it backwards which will hopefully fix the backwards problem you are seeing. Let me know how it works out. Thanks for watching!

thank's for help. The "backward" bug is fixed, I moved the headset in the front of my screen, "looking" at it and got fixed. But I use X-Plane 11 and I had no "inside sim" screen, only main menu. I tried the P3D version but FPS were so low that I gave up. Thx again

Some news on the latest release... flyinside-fsx.com/News Is your FlyInside right up to date? Does it switch into virtual cockpit mode when the game is running in VR? Is your X-Plane 11 updated? Sound like it is really close to working... might be something minor that was missed.

Make sure that you are using the correct version of XPlane with FlyInside. I know that for FSX it was very picky about which version I was using. In regards to the shakiness, where are you experiencing that issue?

I cant get mine to work, it keeps putting the fsx start screen overlayed in the goggles, no matter what I do I can't get it to switch to the desktop. any ideas?

+100%Epic Just double check that the desktop version is not accidentally being sent to the headset. Also what version of FSX are you using? Needs to be Acceleration or higher. Thanks for watching!

Have followed both this video and the other one you did on the Trinus website, I cannot get the psvr to give me a good display, the best I get is as though your trying to put a large display on a small screen, the display is about twice the size it should be no matter what the zoom is, do you know if you should preset screen size on the ps4 before trying on the pc, I'm running p3d V4

Hey man, got my headset today! Could you please assist me by answering a few questions since you're pro at this! I followed your tutorial on minecraft using steamvr, does the world give you any 3d effect? Mine seem to look as if I'm watching a none stereoscopic 3d 360 video on KZbin, I even tried war thunder via steamvr and the results were the same, just a flat world. So I'm curious if I'm actually doing something wrong? Or is this normal? I read HTC vive users were supersamping steamvr for a better result, do you know a way so we can do this? Btw keep up the brilliant work! I was suffering for hours trying to figure this stuff until i came across your videos, real helpful so please MORE 👍😁

Not sure if you are just having a bad experience but the results for me are very much in 3D. If you look up details on the Vivecraft mod you will see that it is projecting a stereoscopic image to the headset. The same can be said with any game that runs natively through SteamVR since these games were developed for the Vive headset users. I have not messed with supersampling in SteamVR but I will definitely post back if I manage to get a better result using that method. Anyways, the "flat" effect comes with games that were not meant to be played in VR or do not have a dedicated mod for them. With these games we need to create the 3D effect with either vorpX or TriDef3D. Hope this helps... thanks for watching!

JRaeGames If you think that's old FSX is good you should try it inside Xplane 11. It's the absolute best. From both visually and dynamic lighting on par with DCS world quality. I use the Oculas rift with flyinside. Absolutely incredible, download the free beta demo and see.

im using an HTC Vive headset and is working perfectly without the TRINUS PSVR. But it is difficult to see the controls without being able to zoom in. So wanted to install TRINUS PSVR. I managed to install it and run it. But when i press the start button on the Main tab it gives me this error code. E: PSVR not detected. Is it switched on? Check your connections, make sure the PSVR is on and re-install the PSVR driver if necessary (from Trinus How to > Install tab) I: SteamVR driver installed in folder H:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR So what am i doing wrong? can you guide me how to set it up so that my Vive would zoom in with the mouse wheels? Currently it is not working with the mouse wheel.

Trinus PSVR is meant specifically for the PSVR headset. It will not work with the HTC Vive headset.

pelease help me...2 days ago flynside that works properly good ı can play the fsx well but last two days i didint do anythink but it is totaly not run completely whatever I do. I am very happy if you can help me....the problem is so confused to explain it for me... when i run the flyınside.... fsx main panel goes to my headset right eye and mixing with flyinside main center two image overlaping...i can not see the fsx main panel on my monitor because of that ı couldnt run the game and therefore i couldnt use the W button...fsx main panel is jJust on my headset right eye :((( on the other hand i can take the fsx main menu in to the extendent screen and trying to take my monitor by mouse but when i hold and leave the panel it goes the extendent side that means my headsead right eye.... how can ı fixed that i delete everythink and load again but the prolem is not change... i dont know what i must do.please help me thank you wery much...

Definitely sounds like a strange issue especially since it was working perfectly before that. Did you change anything with your resolution settings or maybe in the flyinside options?

Did you try Shift + Windows + Right key as well? It depends on which side your computer put the extended display.

jep. tried al of them. if i use the left key the headset project my desktop background. also when i startup flyinside it gives an error because of my 'earo' setting. even if i have desktop composition on. hope you cant help me. thank you!

What version of FSX are you running? I believe the plugin only works with certain versions. I am using Acceleration.

According to the website... FlyInside FSX Pro 1.8 - for Flight Simulator X Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX:SE, Acceleration, or SP2) From their website: flyinside-fsx.com/Download Steam Edition is supported so I am not sure why it isn't working for you... I will see if I can find any information on others having similar issues.

Awesome video James. I have been waiting for someone to figure this out.. I have the PSVR and have downloaded the steamvr, flyinside fsx etc and I have MS Flight Sim X. I am able to get the grid view and the motion tracking working but for some reason when I run FlyInside it just automatically opens FSX as an overlay but does not allow me to open it in SteamVR. I was hoping you might have some suggestions to help me out. Thanks for the video. Rocky

Hmm that is strange. Not sure what you mean by overlay but it is very important that you have both Trinus and SteamVR running and working before you launch it. If the viewport shows up on the screen in a split display, then you need to send it to the proper display for it to work. Not sure exactly what is happening, maybe send me a screenshot and I will be able to help you out.

Hi James. I know you are not official support for this so I do appreciate that you took the time to respond. I have two monitors and the PSVR set up so it would be difficult to send any screen shots. One monitor is the main monitor. Trinus works properly and calibrates the headset. Then I launch SteamVR which works properly and does detect the PSVR. When I open SteanVR I see the split screen with the grid on my main monitor so I shift-windows-left to send it to the PSVR. That works ... I get the split screen with the grid and head tracking works in the PSVR. Next I launch FlyInside and it opens on my main monitor but does not show in the PSVR at all. So I alt - tab to be sure I am on the monitor where FlyInside launched FSX (main monitor). and the I assume I have to shift - windows - left to send it to the PSVR. When I do this it does send FSX to the PSVR but it does not go into a split screen mode. It just sits on top of the split screen in 2d mode. since the initial FSX screen is not full screen I can see the active split screen grid view behind it in my PSVR with the FSX window sitting on top (overlay).

So essentially the FlyInside (FSX) does not launch inside the SteamVR split screen view. When I launch FlyInside I don't see the welcome screen that you get. The SteamVR split grid view remains the same as if it does not recognize that FlyInside is running

Got it! The solution is simple. Unfortunately, you are not using Flight Simulator Acceleration. It needs to be the correct version for the VR to take over and work. I hope this solves your issue.
