Im right handed but its nice to see someone else that uses left hand reels. I use right hand for bottom fishing. I think the action is mostly in retrieving the line so i think i will stick with right hand? Idk i never know which to go with for finese i like to control the rod action with my dominant hand but when it comes to big fish my left hand gets tired. I always have to fish more to know which hand i like to use. It gets expensive with reels.

Good Question! We recommend using your dominant hand to work the jigs and your off-hand to retrieve the line.

You attach line to the hook eye side??

Are you tying the jig straight to the braid or is there a leader?
@phenixrods Жыл бұрын
You'll need a short leader for anit abrasion

Which Titan rod would be more ideal for bay area jigging either from a yak or boat?
@phenixrods3 жыл бұрын
Generally, we suggest the 68ML Slow Pitch for 100’ or shallower, or the 68MH for deeper then 100’
It's from $299 to $349 depends on the models. You are welcome to try any dealer around you at the link phenixrods.com/dealer-locator/

Is the speed jigging rod different from slow pitch rod?
@jimmascaro24564 жыл бұрын
I looked it up on phenix homesite - its a slowpitch rod 20-40 lb range (med light) retails for 330.00. I have 3 phenix rods a big surf rod & 1 for heavy jigging & now 1 for tuna great solid rods a little on the stout side but for 12 oz wts & western style jigging at 240 ft thats gd. Would like to see what this rod feels like w a 150-200 gram jig. I have a slow jerker 603-4 but might want to add a slightly lighter rod (w/ an ocea 1500 f custom) to round out slow pitch line up.

Any speed jigging rod is different from a slow jigging one. Speed jigging rods are a slower action ( a rod that bends further back towards the handle), that allows you to work the rod in a rapid up and down motion.

I never thought I’d see dudes bouncing iron for rockfish on bass gear. Kinda funny and master marketing though.

It's a pretty popular technique in Australia and Japan. I've never had a day where I skunked out from jigging out here in San Diego. I use shimanos butterfly jigs because the way it falls on the drop. It flutters down

@@FrvrCwbyF question. Line attaches to hook side eye?? Or opposite lure eyelet?
