HOW TO SEW A JUMPSUIT

Learn how to sew a jumpsuit with step-by-step instructions. Very detailed sew-along!
ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! I forgot to mention a few things in the video.
1. You must cut the lining for the pants 5/8" shorter at the hem during cutting. This way, the hem of the lining won't show at the bottom.
2. You will need to use a knit lining with at least the same amount of stretch as your fashion fabric. I've linked to lining fabric & lining options below.
3. We are sewing View #2 for the bodice and View #6 for the pants. Follow pattern instructions to choose coordinating pattern pieces for each view.

I'm a beginning sewer, but I do know how to sew, I think it's a wonderful idea to tell folks to use muslin to get started. Good fabrics cost so much money, therefore you don't want to mess up on the good stuff. I never thought of sewing with used sheets before but that is a great idea.

I can't believe I spent an hour watching this sew along for a pattern I don't have. Enjoyed watching the entire video and so glad you modeled your creation front and back afterward. I'm not an expert at sewing but I don't see from patterns because I am always making modifications. Now I just bought a few patterns because I know my sewing will improve. This jumpsuit is stunning on you. But I was asking myself throughout where I would put some pockets. And I was wondering how long it would take me to use the restroom.
