Long road for a short cut!! Put on the trouser on a shoeless foot, when you put it on, hem to heel length, when your foot is in a shoe it's perfect fit

So much time taken with the pressing and marking. I don't know why the final tack was done with a stitch in the ditch on the outside. I would have done a tack from in-between the cuff layers so there would be no outer stitching seen.

This is a very helpful tutorial. It helped me to create cuffs for myself and my husband. By the way, is there a chance you can do a tutorial that demonstrates making a cuff in trousers that are not long enough to fold a proper cuff size? Like adding fabric to lengthen the pants but the result still looks like there is no fabric added? My husband and I are tall and extra pants length to do cuffs are not always an option.

No razor blade so I used my seam ripper to shave my chalk. It works in a pinch.

Sorry for being stupid, I had a hard time following all the steps... But is it a correct takeaway from this video to say that if you want cuffs of length x inches on your pants, you need to have 3*x inches of "spare length" before you finish the pants? E.g. if you want 2 inches cuffs, then you need at least 6 extra inches on your inseam?

I recommend silk organza for pressing cloth. It is generally see through and protective of delicate materials.
