I I keep the needle in the fabric when I lift the presser foot and turn the fabric.

You can do that but it can pull and bend your needle if you aren’t careful. Better to get in the practice of always having your needle up :)

What stitch length should we use?

Very nice video ... Those stitch on patch are very tight and not easy to rip off from a Jersey right? Thanks again
@PlexiCosplay2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, stitches are the best way to keep the patch attached. You can lower the stitch length for an even stronger attachment!

@@PlexiCosplay but for the ones we bought from nike or adidas . Those are very tight stitch right?

Any recommendation for needle size!?
@PlexiCosplay2 жыл бұрын
Hi! So it depends on the garment, but I'd recommend a heavy duty needle just because patches tend to be a bit bulkier. You may get away with standard needles, but you may also break some in the process.

What stitch patterns can be used or which one is the best
@PlexiCosplay Жыл бұрын
I prefer straight stitch for the edges -- you can do zig zag, but you're trying to be as minimal as possible, and straight stitch will do it. If you're doing stretch fabric, then zig zag or stretch stitch is the way to go.

@@PlexiCosplay stretch fabric like cotton tees?
@PlexiCosplay Жыл бұрын
@@gormangraphics ah yeah if it’s stretchy cotton, then zig zag. The zig zag allows for a little stretch instead of ripping the stitch out.
