Awesome tutorial, you are a natural teacher. Thanks for a video I only have to watch once, no pausing and rewinding to watch a part of it over and over again. Straight foreward and to the point. Please keep making them.

Thank you!! This will be a day to remember and recall the joyous moment in which I found a simple and easy to follow tutorial for this old woman reviving joyous and simple pleasures I scoffed in my youth. I'm headed to my room for my first attempt!!

Thanks for this video. I needed to make a book cover for a friend with only measurements so this was very helpful. I had to make two because I used Pellon interfacing and the first time I had the Pellon the same size as the fabric, but it made it too thick around the edges and especially in the corners. The second one I put the Pellon on minus the seam allowance and that worked out much better. I didn't need mine to be reversible and didn't want to ladder stitch so I did a 1/8" topstitch around the edge.

Thank you! This is a great video and pattern. I made a cover in less that 2hours from cutting to sewing the final seam closed. Magic!

Wow now I know why my ladder stitch looks weird. It was because all this time I have been doing it completely wrong. So glad I checked in on your video to learn the correct way to do it. And this means my future projects will be done the right way. So a BIG thank you for showing this small bit towards the finishing toushes of your beautiful book cover.

Thankyou, a very helpful video. I like to learn by watching. I disagree with the other commenter, you pace is perfect. This is the first tutorial which doesn't assume you have a certain size book, but shows you how to measure. I am just about to make a cover now, with your video ready on my sewing bench :-)

How did you get such a good fit considering the approximate turning and 'bit extra' measurements. I would love to make one of these but am worried it will be too small or too big once all stitched up!

Great video. Just a comment. I'm not sure but you may have missed the final thread hook right above the needle in the machine. I've never had a sewing machine that didn't have the thread hooked right above the needle but maybe yours is different.
@EasySewing4Beginners10 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa Bunnage. You're right! I did miss the thread hook above the needle. I do usually have the thread behind the hook. Thanks for watching. Great attention to detail :)
