How To Sew A Sequin Cover Up/Tear Away Poncho!

Woooo today's video is a sewing tutorial! This one is pretty beginner friendly, we're sewing a simple poncho/coat/cover up, add in some sequin fabric and snap buttons and you have a great reveal coat! I bought 3 yards of sequin and lining, but you can cut the pattern out of a rectangle that's 50 inches wide and about 80 inches long (what I'm saying is that you can get away with buying 2.25 yards if you want the exact length that I got out of it)
Other supplies you'll need will be two snap fasteners!

I was specifically searching for drag queen sewing because I just want to see extra AF clothes and your channel does not disappoint!! Especially that tutorial where you teach us how to sew chaps. Unfortunately I can’t get away with chaps, given that I am not a dragqueen, just a regular straight female lol. But I might make them to wear around the house because I feel so inspired. And I want to recreate this tutorial just so I can be extra AF when I go to my dance school :D, why wear a regular coat right. You are just so inspiring and you explain everything so calmly... it gives me the idea that I can take on a project and that it is not super hard :)

Hi! This is one of the first videos I've seen that's close to what I'm looking for. I'm definitely going to try this. I'm wondering if you could make a tutorial video using large loose sequins? The kind of sequins that need to be cut and sewn in the direction that they are all resting in the same direction and not sideways if you know what I'm trying to describe. I've purchased several sequin fabric and while some were like the sequin fabric you used in this video, others were not and I really don't want to mess up the fabric if I cut them incorrectly. So I’m a little confused about the lining. Is it it’s own type of fabric or is it another type. I’m just curious because I would like to make my own.😊

Lining isn't a type of fabric it just refers to the fact that it's on the inside of the garment, because the other side of the sequins are scratchy against the skin and doesn't look as neat. You can use any kind of fabric, try using something that feels nice against your skin, isn't too thick, and is a good colour match in case it's visible :)
