HOW TO sew a simple tote bag? (with boxed bottom & zipper pocket)

Love you for giving us the dimensions in cm as well as inches! Perfect timing: my next project was exactly this: a tote bag. Planning to use denim scraps from old jeans collected from my son, my daughter, and my husband!

OOoh, denim scraps will be great for this, plus it reuses the material! And denim is so great for projects like these, it also takes paint well and embroidery too, so many ways to add a bit of unique side to it ;) I am so excited for your project!

I really like your design for a tote bag; that zipper pocket in the front is a wonderful addition! If used for a shopping bag, the zipper pocket is the perfect place to put small purchases (pack of sewing machine needles, gift card, birthday card, etc.) so they don’t get lost or damaged by being thrown in with canned goods; brilliant!

Exactly! And you can also make this pocket on both sides of the tote and even add extra ones on the inside :)

Lol :) well.... I did dye the straps black and I had a hole in the gloves (that I forgot about). The hole is right on the tip of that finger, soooo.... it dyed black. Lol :) I had something similar happen in another video where it dyed bright pink. I have to repair those gloves or get new ones, otherwise it will keep happening :D Happy New Year to you as well!
