How do I attach a facing to a skirt with pockets and a waistband. Please please help. It's my very first time sewing.

Can you do the understitching prior to turning the fabric? Is there a reason why it has to be addressed after turning?

For some garments, it would work prior to turning. However with the burrito method, the fabric is so bunched up that you won't be able to understitch very far unless you turn it right side out. Plus, you might stitch through layers that you don't want to stitch through.
