I planned for a 1 inch seam allowance and it's a bit wrinkling and ruffle
@SpencerOgg Жыл бұрын
1" SA is too large for this Aymon, you would definitely get wrinkling, its too much fabric to 'bend' . Try a 1/2" or a 3/8" SA

After I see the panel on all four sides how to I get a decorative top stitch in it? The panel is 5” wide and I can’t get it back around the arm to get in there. What I mean is there’s now way to get the top stitch all the way into the corner, it’s too bulky. What can I do?
@SpencerOgg Жыл бұрын
It really depends on the thickness of fabric you are using, but a couple of things to try: Use a zipper foot (its much narrower and will allow you to get closer in). Trim the bulk of the seam allowance out of the corner before you fold it in. Or post a pic: Join my bag sewing Facebook Group for help and support with my patterns, to post your pics and general bag making chat: facebook.com/groups/spencerogg

Reduce your seam allowance as my earlier message, use lots of clips or pins to make sure your fabric doesn't stretch or shift. Is your fabric stretching perhaps?
