Thanks for making this! I'm a 13 year old boy and want to learn how to sew, but I'm the only crafty one in the family besides my little sister so I don't have anyone to show me how to do this (Besides my step-mom but I only see her every other weekend) and so this really helped! ❤❤❤

my mom and my grandma know how to sew but they could not help me today, here's the story: so after I finished making a wedding dress I wanted to make a mini Cinderella dress but then i did not know how to start the thread so I called my mom and she said"I will be home in a few hours" then I said "can your ask grandma if she can come over and help me?" then my mom said"sorry Madison,but grandma's busy today BUT I will let you look up how to, bye!" *my mom hangs up* so I grabbed my computer and got into KZbin and I searched up how to start the thread. but I could not find the right video but then I saw this video and I wanted to watch it so I clicked it *click* then instead of skiping to the part i waited and then I saw the part so I tried it and I did it correctly and I was super happy! thank you because of you I learned how to do that and also I got the dress done in ONLY A FEW MINUTES :) so thank you!

Since a base fabric is needed, would this not be embroidery?
@naztazia Жыл бұрын
Embroidery is a more decorative needlecraft, while sewing simply attaches things together with a needle and thread (can be decorative and/or utilitarian).

4:35 Finishing a seam: You could use that finishing method on the *edge of the inside fold* of a hem on jeans to finish the hem, right? 3:10 Running Stitch: And for *hemming jeans* , wouldn't it be ok to do the Running Stitch, instead of the stitch you showed later at 7:43, and then go back over the running stitch the other way (so stitches are made in the *spaces* that were left from the initial running stitch)? Making the stitches somewhat close together, of course. Seems like a 're-done' running stitch would be stronger?

Do I need to use the pin for button eyes on a plushie?
@naztazia3 жыл бұрын
Nope, since the button on plushies aren't to be used as real buttons needing to go through a buttonhole. You want buttons like you are mentioning to be as tight to the plushie as possible so they don't come off.
