This is so weird that you posted this!! I haven’t used my Singer sewing machine for about 30 years. At work today, I started sewing cotton masks so when our elderly residents go shopping, they will each have one. At work, they have the Brother machine like your video! I hope you do more sewing videos because I’m so excited to be using it again. I got home from work and went through the manual for my Singer and it worked! So I’ll be sewing masks all weekend! Thank you for posting!

Hey Donna! I came from your crochet videos! I was wondering what model/brand would work best when sewing on linings and bra padding for crochet projects? I'm using acrylic and cotton yarns and was worried they'll a bit thicker than the average fabric to sew in. Thanks!

I also have a newer Singer Heavy Duty machine (not shown in the video), that works great for multiple layers or thick layers. Doesn't have the electronic bells and whistles as the other ones, but can pierce right through anything.

I just need a sewing machine!! 😫 Joanne's won't let me in to buy the only one they have in stock. Switched an order from sewingmachinesplus (after days of calling and hrs on hold), but they won't honor the price match they promised on their website, and can't ship until Monday (unsure why if they have stock?). They also did NOT disclose that the replacement they provided was refurbished AND discontinued - I had to find that out on my own when I checked the new order confirmation, so not pleased with the ordering process at all.. I have a big order to fill and we have immune compromised folks here; I wanna get to work ASAP! Can anyone provide a list of reputable and reliable sellers that potentially price match? I am saving this video in a playlist for when I DO get a new machine. *sigh* Thanks in advance.

Remember, in sewing there’s more than 1 way to do most stitches. Have fun. If you start to get frustrated, take a break! Come back to it the next day when you feel less stressed. It’s suppose to be a fun hobby. Enjoy it. I went to Walmart today. First time in 2 weeks. Only 2 sewing machines left. People bought them up to make masks.

Lucky you! Mine had no machines and no fabric whatsoever. Normally they are stocked with tons of pre-cut fabric.
