I needed this video 2 weeks ago! Love the feel of this fabric but it's tricky. Velvet seam creep!! Argh 😒. I picked out my creeping darts so many times. Will use my waking foot next time! The blouse turned out fabulous regardless. Need to make another one with all your tips used.

What kind of needle you use for stitching? Stretch needle or ballpoint?

It must be like sewing with minky fabric. Never, again! I hand basted the seams at 3/8” and at 3/4” and pinned along the seam line. I used the walking foot. I used a raised seam guide so I didn’t have to follow the lines on the machine bed. I made robes for my granddaughters, so it was a labor of love. I could have made three robes in other fabrics for the time I spent on these. Never, again!

@@dale3404 I find velvet much easier than minky. It’s not as slippery on the right side or as thick.

@ That’s good to know, because I have some I want to use (cleaning out the stash) once I figure out a project. Only one yard, so I’m limited.
