You could use something like Watch 4 Folder and have it run an audio trigger whenever a file is added to that folder, and set it to watch the folder where the Replay Buffer saves video files. That's the only way I can think of doing it until OBS adds something natively. www.raymond.cc/blog/3-portable-tools-monitor-files-folders-changes/ There's also Folder Monitor which support sounds or notifications: www.ghacks.net/2018/08/07/monitor-folders-on-windows-with-folder-monitor/

This would be great if not for the huge performance hit. I have GTX 1080 maxed out in 2K Apex Legends and I can't really have frames to spare. I tested performance hit in SoTR ingame benchmark and without replay its 72 frames. Using OBS replay its 55 so -25%. I record in 1080p. Can I setup some kind of replay without crippling performance? On the off chance that you see this reply on a 4 year old vid... So what is the mentality behind Replay Buffer? Like, as a regular gamer who wants to save a very funny moment that happened, what should I do? Have OBS open all of the time when I'm playing games with friends? I mainly ask this because I use an audio plugin that makes it so I can add sources for audio tracks, (browser, spotify, discord, etc.) that way I can listen to music when I'm playing but if I needed to edit the clip, I can just cut that track out in post. It becomes a hassle, or an annoyance to constantly set up sources for every time you play a different game. I feel like there has to be a more efficient way for this but I am too scared to mess up my settings and procrastinating getting used to a new workflow. Sorry for the massive word salad, thanks for reading! Hope you have a great day.

You're likely overheating something. Furmark is a terrible piece of software to run and it is not recommended by AMD or Nvidia, due to the damage it can cause.
@TOPPGUNGAMING6 жыл бұрын
Jerky Shooter I wouldn't use FurMark for bench testing it will exceed your GPU's Limits it will overheat your GPU's causing damage!! FurMark will run everything at full bore wide open throttle and is not safe!!! Also you don't list if you're Air Cooled or Water Cooled or your OS? The safest ones to use and I use are Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 for benchmarking and overclocking on Ultra settings on Heaven for 15-20 min is an excellent stability and heat test. It is much more comparable to an in-game scenario rather than the pedal to the metal that Furmark is. Other brands like 3DMark Firestrike , Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0 are good too. Depending on your OS one of these applications will work for you. Good luck on your benchmark!

I've liquid cooled my CPU with Alienware 120mm liquid cooler and my GPU is on Air Cooling. Could it be a problem of Motherboard (BIOS problem something stuff like that) or Power Supply? I considered.
@daver18836 жыл бұрын
@@akmal_rafye Jerky Shooter you could be running into an issue with overheating of the card or your CPU. Try monitoring the temps with HWMonitor from cpuid. If your temps are within the recommended specs which is about 74c (max at ihs) for the 4790k and 90c max for thr GPU, you should not be hitting any thermal issue. If those are fine, I'd check out the voltage for the power supply. Boot into the BIOS/UEFI setup and find the Hardware monitor option (usually under a menu called monitor/pc health/system health). Make sure the 12v reading is between 11.6v and 12.4v and it should be stable. Fluctuations from the stable voltage higher than plus or minus 5% would indicate stability issues with the PSU. Any fluctuations of more tha 0.05v in either direction could be a concern and if you see it fluctuating often (more than every 20-30 seconds), I would definitely swap the PSU, to see if that helps.

Is there a way to make my stream kind of buffer in a .. different way? My internet just LOVES to go out for like a 5-10 second moment, every now an then. It'll then reconnect. So, when I'm live streaming, it completely disconnects, and reconnects my live stream, my internet loves to go out for that split second, just to cause a disconnect/reconnect on OBS. So, is there a way to make a buffer so my stream doesn't go Offline when my internet drops for that random 5 seconds? Maybe like rewind and replay 5-10 seconds of what my stream has already played, or just pause my stream instead of actually making my stream go Offline? Kind of weird to explain what I'm trying to accomplish, but my net drops for 5-10 secs, stream goes Offline, and I'd like to try to make a buffer of some sort, like the reverse of a video being buffered, kinda? Giving up hope on my internet company..

I've seen streamers highlight areas of the stream whether static or moving and cut those areas out into separate pieces and I'm wondering if this is an Xsplit only feature or if it comes with OBS as well. The best way I can describe it is taking a random news reporter's face that is playing as a KZbin video but they're standing still/not moving around too much in it, using this highlight feature, and say displaying a giant picture of a dollar bill on stream and moving this live highlight piece over George Washington's head as a joke. I have no idea what the feature is called, I'm hoping you or someone else does.
