Great video. I'm just wondering though, is there a way to have the tasks from two different calendars show up together on one calendar? For some reason all of the events will show up between my two calendars that I have shared but the tasks will not show up.

Google Calendar currently does not allow tasks to be shared between calendars in the same way as events. Tasks are specific to the account that creates them and are tied to Google Tasks, which operates independently of calendar sharing. But maybe in the future!

Hey Scott, I am trying to share a Google Workspace calendar with our group. It only shows one option, "See only free/busy". Is there a work around for the other view "see all event details"? Also, what about the other calendars? Do I have to share each of them as well?

It sounds like the calendar's sharing settings might be limited by your Google Workspace admin. If you're only seeing the "See only free/busy" option and not the "See all event details," it could be due to organization-wide restrictions set by the admin.

I appreciate any assistance here. First of all I am extremely new to Google calendar and cant figure out this challenge. We have under My Calendar, the organization calendar and two team members calendars. It was set up this way by a friend who was trying to help us manage our schedules as a a group. I am thinking the other team member calendars should be listed under "other calendars" because I (organization) dont want to have access/permission to change anything on their calendar and thus I dont want the team member to have access/permission to change as well. How do I resolve? Do I remove the team member from My Calendar and then re add them to other calendars? Or is their an easier method?

Great video! The person that I am sharing my calendar with can see all of my edits and changes - but when they add something to the calendar, I cannot see them. Their permission is set to "Make Changes and manage sharing". They are using an iPhone with the Google Calendar app. Any ideas?

Sure thing. Here are the steps to achieve this: 1. Set Permissions for Editing: Open Google Calendar. On the left-hand side, find the calendar you created under "My calendars." Hover over the calendar name, click the three vertical dots, and select "Settings and sharing." In the "Share with specific people" section, click "Add people." Enter the email address of the person who you want to have editing rights. In the permissions dropdown, select "Make changes and manage sharing." Click "Send." 2. Share the Calendar for Viewing: In the same "Settings and sharing" page, scroll down to the "Access permissions for events" section. Check the box next to "Make available to public." Select "See all event details" in the dropdown menu. Copy the "Public URL to this calendar" or "Embed code" (if you want to embed the calendar directly into your website).

I’m trying to set up a a calander for my employees to see where they are going and what they have to do. I’ve created a calendar and also then made calendars for each member of staff. When i go to share the calendar to each person i have added their email addresses but they aren’t receiving a notification / invite. Here are some troubleshooting tips to consider: Spam/Junk Folder: Ask the recipient to carefully check their spam or junk mail folders. Incorrect Email Address: Double-check with the user that the email address they entered is absolutely correct. Typos matter! Pending Invitation: Did the person you're inviting have a previous Google Account that's no longer active? They may need to accept the invite on that older account for it to work with their current one. Sharing Permissions: Go back to the calendar's "Settings and sharing". Under "Access permissions", make sure at least the option "Make available to [your organization]" is checked. If it's more restricted, people outside your organization won't be able to access the calendar.
