I've been doing this for years and I've discovered that if you put a light drop of oil of any kind 3M... Hoppes gun oil... Etc on the oooo still will that it does an even better job glides easily and will not scratch no matter how hard you get into it

Allways remember when you use steel wool blow your bike off or wash it afterwards or you will leave steel shavings on everything and they will leave little rust marks

I once tried mothers clay bar on a chrome wheel i had and it got the pitting out. Hit it with mother aluminum polish and it shined like a diamond

This is legit. Just tried it and 100% works. Some pitting might be tougher to get out (as he says, only if you get it in time, you can save it), but it does the job. #0000 wool.

I NEVER get the lightly pitted chrome. I always seem to get the stuff you can lose a Mack truck in. However, I have seen the 4 ott steel wool work great.

Remember now that you've used steel wool and you have removed even more of the chrome plating you're going to need to research better ways or what to do now? Car wax? ACF 50? 50 weight oil? Clear coat? Re-chrome? 🤔🤔💁🤷🕵‍♀️Just like I'm doing now...🤪😉
