Patience was required to shoot and edit this photo from Wastwater in the lake district. In the video, I show you how I shot and edited a bracketed exposure and managed to capture some lovely reflections of this stunning backdrop. The photo was fairly difficult to capture, trying to pull the elements together and find a composition that fitted well with reflections, trees and mountains.
I hope you enjoy this landscape photography vlog and also pick up a few editing tips that you can use in your own photos.

Great video Ian, I wonder how many times you have been to this location before, I imagine going there on spec and having perfect conditions is a gamble, the life of a landscape photographer. lol. Cheers.

Nice edit Ian, nice to see an image from beginning to end. The good thing is it doesn't look like a typical hdr looks very natural as well. What lens was that by any chance the 18-55mm or the 20-24mm
@ian_worth
@ian_worth 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Jim, yeah I think there is definitely a place for hdr if it's used in moderation. yeah the 18-55mm, it did a steller job 👍,

@@ian_worth I got one second hand in new condition and its surprised me! I've also got the 16-55mm and Ive been using both when out and about but there is not much difference that I can see. The 18-55mm is not the typical kit lens but I think thats just fuji for you. I was going to get the 10-24mm as I needed something just a wee bit wider but got the Samyang 12mm instead for the few times I would need it for the my buildings and the like. Im also back using Adobe as well after trying everything else just can't do without it for cataloging.
