I think going to Lowes really often is the key. Love the sound of the birds. I have never seen Home Depot to have clearance plants. There is a real difference in cities in clearance plants. Guara blooms intermittently, not continuously. I am surprised that there are so many clearance plants in June. I intend to go more.

I have had so much luck with clearance and sale plants and have never seen anyone else on KZbin posting about how to revive clearance plants but I do it all the time and it’s saved me so much! I love that you have the patience to see them thrive next year, that is exactly how I feel when I rescue one too I expect it to take time, & then seeing it bounce back the following year is so gratifying!

I saw those $3 geraniums. Don't pass them by.. I kept my geraniums (container) and proven winners supertunia bubble gum (in a long window box) from last year and brought them inside and put them in a sunny window facing south. They were huge this year to put outside in spring. . I just kept them watered and fertilized once a month.

Girl, you are a woman after my own heart. Clearance plants are the order of the day for me too, I just CANNOT afford to buy them at full price:) Your Lowes have a good selection of plants, all we get mostly in my area are Annuals on clearance. What I wouldn't give for a Hydrangea or Wiegela or Nine bark or any of that. So jealous!

I feel like the stores aren't really marking the plants down enough. I was at Lowe's today and they were throwing perennials in the dumpster because people didn't want to pay $3 for a half dead plant. Why not charge a little less and get rid of them? It broke my 💚.
@bloomingnut235 жыл бұрын
Love the video. Your the first gardener I’ve seen to go to Lowe’s i. The clearance area like I do and get excited like I do. I feel bad leaving all the clearance plants behind. You know they’re going to get tossed ☹️. I want to save them all
@GardenAddictz5 жыл бұрын
Bloomingnut Buds I feel bad too, I can only take as much as my pockets allow and I even negotiate with managers to give more discounts so I can take more home. It’s sad that they end up in the trash. But I still find joy in the clearance section

I love Lowe's plant clearance! There is one a little further away from my house that has the best clearance. So I drive all the way there. I try to get there every other week. In our area Home Depot doesn't do clearance on plants. They are required to toss them.

Kyra D that sucks, homedepot needs to do better. Also here, they don’t do much clearance as well.

@@GardenAddictz My mom and I have asked them numerous times. Their explanation is that they have an agreement with their supplier that they will return or toss any imperfect merchandise. Whatever! I hate to see good plants thrown away. But I do love me some Lowe's clearance! I also buy a lot of stuff at end-of-year sales. And we have a local plant swap in the area once in spring and once in fall where you can get free plants even if you have nothing to trade. Where there's a will, there's a way for a plant addict.
@lovepeace46355 жыл бұрын
Home Depot in my area don't do clearance too. They have pink hydrangea summer crush almost dead and still full price 17.99 plant is very small. They brought 6 white tree hydrangea for 69.99 each and was gone in 7 days. Lowe's too, they don't have clearance. I noticed they are bringing few plants not like last year.

I don't buy any clearance dying plant more than $5/ pot. Sometimes if the cashier supervisor decided that the plant I'm buying is a loser, then she will even discount it more. I always have a success in reviving dying plants. All this plants are on consignment, therefore the supplier doesn't want to take it back. Some store are advised by the consignment suppliers not to sell dying plants to protect their brand names. They just throw them to the garbage dump.

I have two sweet romance lavender that I just brought from lowes that looks like that. Are you sure its okay to cut into the wood? Oh! they didn't look like that at first, but started to after planting. I gave it some bio-tone fert and watered it in. It seems to keep on dying and all the stems are turning grey and brown. Im wondering if I should just take them back and get my money back or do a hard pruning back to the ground?
