I'm sorry Maria but no a woman not only can't but shouldn't have to do it all. Don't get me wrong I have mad props for Garden Addictz but I'm sure she knows what I'm talking about. A woman cannot teach a boy to be a man, they need their father for that & I say this having been a single mother with 2 boys who needed their father. I get the whole strong independent woman thing but even that's a myth. Being strong & independent only makes us hard & women aren't designed to be hard... we're the nuturers/care givers. Worst thing I did for me & my kids was buy into that feminist bs. That feminist trash has destroyed the nuclear family & we're seeing the cumulative effects play out every day
@josephinebrevig87483 жыл бұрын
@@loloholmes2793why do you assume she is single..having been bought into that "feminist bs" . She has a man. This is her channel. Don't make assumptions based on stereo-types. We are more than wives and mothers as Maria probably meant. We have our passions too which need nurturing. In this insistence she is DOING IT ALL!!

Thank you. Here in the UK we don’t overwinter our Hydrangeas. Our temperature is usually between 8 to 10 centigrade in winter and they survive. I have them in pots as well as in the ground. They do equally well. I too, like you, love Hydrangeas and I propagate by taking cuttings. I have a couple of Arborescence (Annabelle) which I grew from cuttings. They bear beautiful large white blooms every summer. I love your videos. Best wishes. Yacoob.

You can just bend down an outer branch. Cover the area that touches the soil with more soil and maybe put a rock or brick on it to keep it covered. In a season it will have self rooted and you can cut it away from the plant, dig it out and replant elsewhere.

I’m so glad I watched this video because now when I go shopping for more Macrophylla hydrangeas I’ll look into the dirt to see how many plugs are in the pot. I live in a zone 5 in Canada and I have 4 in pots that I made out of 2 big barrels that I cut in half, I did exactly what you said and I put them in my garage on block pallets to lift them off the cold concrete and they make it through the winters beautifully. They are humongous now and have tons and tons of flowers, I fertilise with Bone Meal only and I use a water soluble bloom booster(0-45-50) when I see the buds emerging. I love your content and I hope to see more wonderful videos filled with your knowledge about hydrangeas!

I did not get to watch the entire video, so not sure if she mentioned this. If you have plants overwintering in a pot they need to be zoned 2 zones colder than your area. The pots get MUCH COLDER for the plant, than if the plant was in the ground. If you are in a cold winter location your plants may have been winter killed.
