I followed this video and did a similar cut on my mom who is almost 90 years old... she really liked it and had loads of compliments from the ladies she sees at the pool where she swims each morning... thank you! 😊💞

Stop putting negative comment. She show us the real way of hairdresser work at salon. Mini section or proper sectioning is only exist in school. This is the real way to grab money. Keep up with the tips thank you for showing this tut.

I have been doing hair for 15 years. This gal is a good hairdresser. One might find it easy to put down and criticize another fellow stylist, that is sad. Hair is art and a stylist interprets what is best for the client. Clients stay with stylists that are good at what they do and they do hair their way, the way they see the cut. The color of a shear is not important, crying with one's client when she has asked you to shave and razor her head because of cancer that is important. Judge less.

It would be better to see an image of the cut afterwards when dry so you can really see what it looks like

She could cut my hair any day, this is one talented lady, a natural. the razor gently on the hair is inspired I am going to ask my hairdresser if she could do this, and anyone who wants to see the finish should go onto her next video.

@MariaRamos-fl7sm8 жыл бұрын
you said it perfect...a lot of the stylist I've gone too are too scare to take the risk if using clippers when doing a bob but given the volume of hair they should be able to explain to client and believe it they'll love the effect of the stacking done with clippers.

The negative comments are uncalled for. This isn't a tutorial for someone in beauty school. And, this isn't a precision cut. It's a choppy hairstyle, intentionally. This is a good time management tutorial to achieve those results, quickly. Time is money, folks. You self proclaimed professionals should know that by now. Get off your high horse.

The one hard line rule in shaping is...NEVER BRING SHEARS NEAR UNPROTECTED EYES!!!!!! Always cover with your free hand or a shield. These are 'kitchen barber' techniques.

I am not a hairdresser but I LOVE how you cut hair. Wish you lived close to me.I ALWAYS explain that I need height in the crown area. I've had everything from really short,straight across, layers there -ending in a mullet; Or longer at the crown to shorter layers coming forward to the bangs. Neither way worked! It appears to me that the texturing you did in those areas is exactly what would give me the height, or volumn, as you stated. Am I right and how do I explain this my next hairdresser?
@BoysAndGirlsHairstyles12 жыл бұрын
We haven't really talked about that, but that would be a great idea! THANKS!!!!!!

Actually there is such a way to stack Bobs with sections like she's doing. It's called a tick tock method. Mario Tricoci does it in his Graduated bob. There is never any rules in hair cutting. Ones mind is ones creation.
@kkingkaila10 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've seen bobs cut in all types of ways.. My favorite way to do it is in vertical sections which i learned how to do from Aveda I'm not sure why people are freaking out lol
@therightemotive854710 жыл бұрын
I've done stacked bobs vertically and they have came out beautifully. I even have pictures. Its all about how you hold your hand. The only thing with doing them vertically though its, better if youre going for a shorter, closer, higher, stacked bob, any kind of A-line bob that you want more with more flow or long, its better to stack using horizontal partings. Its all about judgement and knowing what technique to use on each client considering hair type and density, etc. Which, is part of being a good hair stylist.

@kathybeaty99785 жыл бұрын
Just a hint from an older, used to be, hairdresser.... it seems the hairdresser today is only out for money, in and out like cattle.... 1)Pay attention to your client, encourage them to bring in a picture. 2)Tell them right away if their hair cannot be cut like that - their hair may grow forward and if they want something that combs out toward the back, there will be too many problems. 3)Don’t be unteachable... learn from the more experienced hairdressers in the salon, even if you don’t like them, ask for help in the middle of a cut, it you are sure. Your client will respect you more if you ask for help than just charge in and mess the cut up. Just tell the client that one of the other HDs is an expert in this certain stage in the cut and you in the process of mastering it. You will learn more from the more experienced hairdressers than you ever did at school. Watch all the haircut video’s you can. I have been looking for a hairdresser that can cut a good Wedge for years... have not found one yet. Stacking is not layering, there is a big difference.
