I read this somewhere that first few ideas we get are mostly the common ones & people usually think of it so sketch them out but don't look at them again & start sketching out for more so you can explore more
@royvandermarel39533 жыл бұрын
That is how I approach my work. Usually after 20 - 30 mins, the better ideas start flowing. Dave Grohl, not a designer ;), once said your work needs to suck first in order to recognize true great work.
@gharib14353 жыл бұрын
True! I actually have been wondering what is the added value of this video, like seriously combining a splash with the letter s is the first idea that even beginners think of.
@royvandermarel39533 жыл бұрын
@@gharib1435 I agree. Although, in Will's defense: this brief is screaming for this outcome. And he does explain that for timesaving purposes, he doesn't do more sketches.

@@royvandermarel3953 fair enough, it's just the thumbnail and the title that lead me to expect more...that's why I was disappointed

What are some good questions to ask to get information out of a client. I know what I need like what the company represents, what are your values, what feeling do you want your logo to convey, etc. But those questions confuse a lot of clients and they just don’t know how to answer.

Hello, Thank you so much. for this amazing video, it was inspiring) I have a question tho (video Idea), about picking colors for brands while considering CMYK dull colors, cuz I always use that RGB bright colors, and feel so bad cuz I know it would be different when it's painted and don't usually find a good CMYK color for the RGB color I have, and get confused and don't know what I should do, should I only use CMYK colors, do big brands does that? or should I pick two similar colors(one RGB and the other CMYK) for each one color? or should I leave it to the illustrator and it's gonna pick the best similar color? or shouldn't pick the RGB bright colors, I really don't know what to do, plz help me, and many others like me, who is new in logo design

Hey Will. I see You Are using the same animation for the different chapter titles in Your videos. I was wondering how You do these. Do You create every title animation from scratch in after effects or do You use some kind of template where You only need to correct the text? I need a way to improve My workflow on My own channel. Great videos by the way 😊
