Best video I've seen on preparing a doggie or hound. It's common sense following the natural "guides" on the fish before skinning. Most struggle like f#@k trying to "peel" them. Excellent.

Hello, I think the spotty dog is slightly better to eat, but you get much more meat off a smooth hound, so the fillet is far thicker

You’ve probably eaten one in a chip shop. Sold as rock eel even if smoothhound or dogfish mate. 100% I owned a chip shop and sometimes skin was left on

Yes, dogfish is the same. Although not much meat on them, I think they taste slightly better than smooth hound
