Thanks to your video I was able to pull this off. I must say, the 2018 1le I had was a lot easier to install. I didn't have the long hook tool but I had some long handle specialty tools. Took me about 15 min. Man, it's tight up in there..lol... Thanks again for the great videos.

The only mod you need is your right foot man. Shift at higher rpm

Does this eliminate the reverse lockout gate while about 4MPH or whatever the limit is? I think it would be a separate solenoid presumably on the other side of the transmission but I have not seen any answers when browsing the forums.

This does NOT eliminate the reverse lockout. That is indeed a different solenoid on the transmission.

I bought the eliminator and for some reason my car’s skip shift stopped working. Not sure I should install the part or just let my skip shift stay as-is since it stopped activating. I hope it doesn’t lead to other issues.

The whole point of the skip-shift eliminator is for it to no longer lockout and force you to another gear. I’m not sure I follow what you mean. The message will still pop-up on your display but you will no longer be forced into a higher gear. It sounds like it’s doing what it’s supposed to be doing.

@@FollowMyLine17 there is something wrong with it for sure. I get the skip shift pop up normally at every stop sign or street light but all the sudden cannot get it to come up even if I try. It is making it much more enjoyable to drive the car at those slower speeds but hoping it isn’t a sign of electrical or transmission problems. I’ll just hang onto the eliminator when I get it and see what the car keeps doing.
