Smoothing is the best way to make your data more clear, understandable, attractive, and beautiful. Therefore, you have to properly smooth your data using easily available software such as origin. Here in this video, I have shown a proper way to easily smooth your data.

Thanks for the nice video. Question, does making a smooth XRD graph affect the calculated values of crysrallinity? Or can we calculate crystallinity both before and after making a smooth graph?

Hi i have a question. I tried plotting both the plots (original and smoothed) in one graph but the thickness of the plots increased and it says speed mode on. How do i rectify this?

I have one question if baseline correction and smoothing if both are required in a graph we should do baseline correction first or smoothing first.

Great video, thank you! 😁 But I have a question...can I smooth my Raman graph in this way as you shown in this video, is that ok? Also, what should I do first: normalization of Intensity, smoothing or baseline correction...in which order should I get do this things? I am lost... 🤯😞

yes, you can smooth your Raman as well. I'll suggest, do no do baseline correction and normalization unless it is necessary.

Hi. I have problem when im plotting my xrd data. i didnt get those lines like yours (in the video), so when i try to stack my graph using method 'stack lines by Y offset' but my graph was really weird.. i've tried plotted using diffrent data, but still the same thing happen. Is it my data is wrong or i missed the steps? im really hope that you can help me.

I received your email and checked out your data. One of your sample have 30 thousand counts intensity while your other sample have an intensity of 3.5 million counts. As 3.5 million is much much higher than 30 thousand, therefore you can not simply plot these 2 plots in comparison. But don't worry, there is a solution available for this kind of problem. We take log on Y-axis of both samples and then plot it in comparison. I have plotted your XRD data and sent you the Origin file. Please check your email. Thanks.
