Supercharger is amazing! I would highly recommend. In my case, I purchased the supercharger alone and had to source the rest of the parts to make it work. And it took a lot of work and trial and error to make it run well with my swap. But overall love the extra torque it produces, and sounds amazing. It's kinda funny because it has become what most people love about my truck, nobody seems to care about the rest of the mods, to me it's just a added bonus!

Hi, Nice conversion. I also have a LN109 with IFS and I am thinking about swapping it with SAS. I have one question though. Why didn't you got a 'front drive shaft' of an LN106 instead of making that squared one?
@DirtGarage5 жыл бұрын
It's different. My driveline angles at the time would not work, and the front diff is pushed forward, so lengths will be off, plus my t-case output is probably in the wrong spot too. And LN106's are super rare here. All trucks in that body style in Canada where IFS.

Hi, I am new to all this stuff so excuse my ignorance. Can something like this be done to a 2wd Toyota? Or is it to much work and I am better off buying a 4wd? Also, since I am interested in a truck I can take to the beach, would a long travel (pre runner) be a better option and cheaper?
@DirtGarage5 жыл бұрын
100% can do this to a 2wd, it's more work though. You need to swap trans and transfer case, brace frame, and move the steering box, as well as everything mentioned. And if you want to long travel finding a 4x4 in first place is the way to go! 4x4 with LT sounds like the best for you but is more expensive.

@pm72944 жыл бұрын
Hang on.. let me get this straight... you swapping out a IFS for a solid axle? Why? I have a oringal 85 Toyota 4x4 with a solid front end and it handles like a boat. What's the reason to do all that work and end up with a truck that handles worse?
@DirtGarage4 жыл бұрын
Because its strong and flexes great! Plus there is tons of aftermarket parts to make it even stronger. And in my case handles much better than my lifted clapped out IFS was. Plus I would not put 37" tires on IFS, the solid axle handles them like a champ.

Thank you for the comment! The Bilsteins are great and would highly recommend. The ride is not bad for a SAS rig, in my opinion rides better than my IFS did with BJ spacers. @@justin76bmw just two square tubes. No splines. All the slip you'll ever need. They are noisy but that's it. And you drive that truck 200 mph fine if you could get it to go that fast. You don't drive 60 mph in 4wd. Unlock the hubs. It won't spin.
