The best thing I ever did to display my HOF cards is two things. I bought: 1) Ringless top loader binders 18:29 2) Wall display boxes Everything else is broken down into: Auto boxes by sport Numbered by sport Non numbered, nono auto by sport Commons - give away. That's it. Nice Barry Sanders (THE GOAT) on your wall, by the way. Him and Jerry Rice are my pc. I have lots of cards from each but not a single auto or numbered auto of either. Hoping I can at least afford to buy one numbered auto of each to display one day.

Love this kind of content, very useful! I have a similar intake process when I receive slabs in the mail. Firstly I have a spreadsheet where I catalogue all of my PC cards. After cataloguing the card I always take it out of whatever sleeve the seller sold me the card in, wipe any smudges or fingerprints off the slab itself, then sleeve it up in a brand-new graded card sleeve and file it away in its corresponding storage box.

Excellent advice. Having an intake system makes it more enjoyable to work with new cards. I also recommend not keeping them stacked loose and too high or near the edge of the desk to prevent the inevitable mistake/damage. I also spend a bit of time updating a database on intake, which has turned into my own price guide. I constantly sort/search this information to make better decisions on future purchases.

I use several of the sports card wall display frames, they hold 20 raw cards each and can be found at your local hobby or craft store. I also use foam boards and cork boards to display raw cards in pro mold mini snap holders or one-touch holders using 3M removable mounting squares to attach to the boards.

What an insightful video…thank you! What do you do with like $1 bin cards. Do you topload them or just penny sleeve and file away with other raw cards of like HOFers and base RCs and parallels/inserts? I always have a hard time organizing these as I like to rip and it eventually takes up too much space even when throwing out mostly all base cards.

This was all fantastic, thank you for the behind the scenes, much appreciated. I do think I would need something a little more substantial for the walls. I use specific earthquake hooks for artwork around my house, I'll have to research options for card displays as well. It's a reality here. Finally, at 13:30, T-Pott doing the lord's work tellin' y'all to use Painter's Tape. A-MEN ... preach! If people would stop using scotch tape on top loaders, the world would be a better place.

Do you worry about sun damage on those displayed cards near the window?
@t-pott450416 сағат бұрын
I know some people do, especially with autos. And autos can and will definitely fade over time. I'm monitoring it, but the one touches are rated for like 98% UV protection for 5 years. I also don't have any direct sunlight really coming through the window. The angles are tough with the way my house is situated, so it's mostly indirect coming through.

Mr. Pot, thanks, inspiring. What is your take on rubber bands instead of painters tape. I do not like painters tape, I have found in the South Florida heat it gets sticky like masking tape and leaves residue on the top loaders when I receive them. I ship a lot on eBay and use thin rubber bands, one or two, on the far left and right edge of the top loaders. I go penny sleeve, top loader, rubber band or two depending on thickness and then team bag, lastly card guard with another rubber band. I don't like to pinch the middle with the rubber band so I stick to the side and been receiving positive feedback thus far. Its an easier removal and the top loader is still pristine after removing the rubber band. So what do you think? Again, thank you for your time and inspiration.

Rubber bands are definitely an option! just NEVER scotch tape! :)

please dont use quarter round to trim that cabinet to the wall, lol. i see you removed the baseboard to get it up tight and thats a smart move. scribe mold is the way to go to cover that gap and it looks top notch. just use some base white cabinet toe kick to get the base to the wall so the baseboard has a place to dead end when its time to put back. its already looking nice just need those last final touches.

I did that while we’re all at home in 2020-21. What a ride down memory lane. Sent some off to PSA for grading and kept ones that meant something, like the 88 Topps baseball set, the first I put together as a kid. Should have seen the trash can afterwards though.
