I love my boss katana cause it can simulate a tube amp very well cuase yoy xan strum light with it on a distorted channel or effects and harder you strum more distorted it gets and reacts to tone and volume knobs like a tube amp as well. Its my go to practice and bamd practice amp the mkii50 i use my marshall vintage modern full stack live o jave had since i was 13 and got it when they forst came out on the market. I used your settings and with my Epiphone lespaul 59 custom it sounds spot on with a few small changes to adapt kt to my pickups not much. And with my jackson soloist hsh in slime green they call it sounds amazing for kick start my heart and kther songs. That the two guitars i only ise live and they work oerfect for 80s hair metal and classic rock

I've been a tube amp snob for over 30 years...but man, solid state technology is getting pretty good. There have been some good solid state amps over the years but they were few and far between. Now days there is no excuse for having a bad sounding amp no matter if you go tube or transistor.
@scottashe9843 жыл бұрын
A cranked tube amp gets those gnarly harmonic overtones and killer reverb though. I'm using a nice sounding solid state but I miss the liveliness of my old heads. Think I need a Kemper to play with.
@AlmostLakai942 жыл бұрын
@@scottashe984 a Kemper is probably going to be my setup when I can afford it. Unless I decide on going with a Fender Supersonic because those are surprisingly versatile

Well, you are close to what he sounds like on Too fast for Love and on Shout at the Devil; By shout album he is using multiple racks he is going threw ,, so there is no way to nail his sound without him showing what he used .. By shout he was also starving the Marshalls and Soldano slo amps at around 95 volts .. which makes breakup with tubes come much earlier then normal voltage . He learned this from multiple Guitar players from the late 70's. Mick even back then was going threw much more equipment then most players.. Eventide stuff they made just for Mick .. But your close with the little Katana ...

although; Mick Mars were could a Shredding Hair Metal Version of Slash that both each from them are using the sound method with Melodic Chords although Slash has more oriented to edge with Chord bending rather than Mick basically employs rhythmic fashion on doing shredding with melodic chords more than the typical average shredders obtained more licks I wonder how Mick has plays entirely Rhythmic Chords even he set to cancels licks in some eligible soundtracks redundant to be moreover in the melodic chords Fun Facts; Saint Anger by Metallica was the direct inspirations in the Mick Mars redundant masterpiece
