Mate, probably the form "I lived in London for 10 years" doesn't cheer, innit??? I'd deviate between I have lived and I had lived for 10 years (probably US?)...))))

Samreen Fatima@ I'm sorry, I don't mean to bother you. But if you really focusing in British accent and looking for a partner who has same intention, then you can add me. I have been struggling to speak British accent and to speak like a native.

Long time ago, while staying in England it took me quite a while to realise that "Alright?" meant "hi" and wasn't a question "Are you alright?" meaning I would look somehow ill or weird or something similar.. 😄 (you bloody Britons should explain yourselves a bit better, I wasn't the only one wondering the same) 😄

To say that your videos are pretty interesting is an understatement. Not only is your channel recommendable for students, but also for teachers. I am a non native English teacher (Spanish) married to a scouser and I totally relate to what you tell us in your videos, which I share with my pupils. I'm pretty much hooked on them and nod to every comment you make as if you could see me 😅. And to top it all, you are a vegetarian! 👏👏👏 Thanks for your great work!!!!

I remember having my head wrecked while learning "alright mate" greeting in the wild. First, "allright" was so compressed that I couldn't get the (bloody) word. Then I learned the word, but didn't catch that it was a greeting and thought that people worry I look tired or sth (some of my responses seem funny now). Then I heard it in a conversation as a bystander and surprised by reply realised that in Polish we pretty commonly use almost identical and explicitly compressed phrase, which I believe came from English. So, I kinda made full circle backwards with it.
