Today we're going over band resisted speed bench. In this tutorial Jake goes over how to set up the bands, what your bar path should look like, why band training is so effective (especially for speed bench), then he goes over four variations we use in the Fitness Culture App.
Banded Speed Bench Variations:
(4:19) Controlled Eccentric Reps with Pause
(5:13) 1/4 Ballistic Rep
(6:07) Ballistic Single Rep from Full ROM
(6:38) 3 Reps for Time

You guys should do footwork drills and exercises to make you faster to complete your athletic workouts. I think this is the only thing that could honestly make your content better. I love the vids they’ve helped me a lot keep it up

Could you go through the benefits of the different types of variations (use of bands, 1 1/4 reps, tempo on reps, like 1-1-X-0) and when you should include it in your program?

2:30 - Where to place the band at the bottom is important; Place it where it would hit one's chest upon the end of the eccentric phase of the bench press.

Here are some ideas: - what your typical diet looks like - RAW training footage, Not focusing on such informative style videos - improving broad jump - Your favorite core variations - Upper back routine (Joe Defranco style) - RE UPLOAD YOUR PRO DAY VIDEO from years ago, Idk where it went :(((

How much weight does the bands equal out too?

Depends on how far they are stretched. The force they exert is proportional to the stretched length thar can be expressed as the spring constant in lbs per inch (or whatever units you like) it's known as Hooke's law.
