How to Speed Up Windows 7 Easiest Way

Hard drives do not get fragmented unless your hard drive is getting full and running low on space. If you have plenty of space free, you can skip that step. You can check, but if you have lots of space, it will probably not be fragmented. The idea that deleting files leads to fragmentation is wrong. When you save a file, the drive will save to a location that has enough space to hold the entire file. Fragmentation happens when there isn't enough space for the entire file, so it breaks it up and stores it into the various smaller spaces where files have been deleted from in the past. If you do not disable the scheduled disk cleanup, it will horribly slow down your system doing it when it is simply not needed if you have lots of drive space available. You may want it enabled only if you are low on space which leads to fragmentation, in which case, you should look into getting a larger hard drive.

There are 3 ways to speed up PC: 1. Upgrade to big RAM 2. Upgrade to SSD storage 3. Clean up PC regularly For step 3, My choice is WinUtilities (Awards Winning Solution to Clean Up & Speed Up PC). I have used it many years, it works great. You can search WinUtilities in google to find it.

Btw if you have less than 2 on antivirus ram and dont use internet a lot you can try to go without antivirus. they eat up lots of resources. If you use internet frequently dont try this though
