In this video John shows you how to download the audio editor program then import or create your own audio files. Also learn how to upload the custom audio files for use in your Spektrum DX6, DX7, DX9 or DX18 Gen2 transmitter. And since Gen2 Spektrum transmitters all use the same .svx voice alert audio files your custom voice files can be shared with friends or within your own transmitters. No need to re-record new files for different Spektrum Gen2 radios.

Spektrum makes some of the best transmitters IMO on the market . They have really started to step up the game and stay focused while putting out up to date product's . I just watched this video it was very helpful to learn some of the features. I do not currently own the Dx7 but hopefully one day I will be able to upgrade to the Dx8 gen2 or Dx7 gen2 . I am currently using the Dx6i , Dx5e , and the Dxe transmitters all of which I have had no problems with . I own a few different planes and quad's and Spektrum is my first choice 98% of the time . Horizon Hobby has done a great job keeping customer's on the breaking edge of the new technology. Keep the great informative video's and product's coming . Hopefully one day I will be able to product test some of Horizon Hobbies great product's and own a new Spektrum Transmitter like the Dx7 gen2 or Dx8 gen2. #HorizonHobbyIsTheBest #Spektrumrc

this is really great that we can now add sounds but really need improvement file sizes are really small come on horizon next update more icon pictures for models and bigger files for adding your sounds. but glad u did this lee in uk

Is there a maximum size the sound file can be? I created a few but only some of them uploaded properly when I followed this process.

Absolutely brilliant. Going to do a sound file for my A10 gun. My hammer drill with a old bit in it against a steel plate should get nearly the right sound. Watch out for the strafing run. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have new DX7 , when i setup up the Voice and click on the TEST button it doesn't do anything , when i flip the switches nothing happen. when i scroll the menu i hear sound so the speaker must be working but no Voice , Somebody help me ?

Regarding Spektrum Audio Editor. I have the DX9 not the Black One. The Audio Editor does not work. I keep getting this message ( an error was detected in the update file. I am not impressed. I fly quad copters as well and the new voices would help immensely but does not work. I could have saved half the cost Of my radio and got these facilities by purchasing the FRsky Taranis. The DX9 is a good radio but functions like this let it down and let Spektrum down I would be grateful and surprised if I do get a response for this message

Interesting guys. I've used the same gen one OG Dx9 for years now and have never had any issues with airfare updates or sound updates or programmability. Hmmmm may wanna call HH on that.

j'ai bien fait comme sur la vidéo,!!!!.. La radio a eu un gros beug elle ma affiché( erreur système) et le message n'ai jamais parti je les donc renvoyer au magasin ou je les acheté et le vendeur été tout autan dépité que moi en voyant cela,!! il ma donc échangé la radio contre une autre neuve!,, je ne ferais pas de mise a jour sur ma nouvelle radio et mon vendeur cherche encore d'ou vient l'erreur système il n'arrive pas a résoudre le problème !!! donc faite attention moi sa a mie ma radio obsolète inutilisable . faite attention . I did as well as the video !!!! .. The radio had a great beug it displays my ( system error) , and the message has never been if I return to the store where I bought it and seller autan was just annoyed me that !! he traded my radio against another new ! ,, I would not do to update my new radio and my seller always looking where does the system error does not occur to solve the problem !!! So be careful , I was his friend my radio unusable obsolete . Pay attention . je suis français excusé moi pour mon mauvais anglais ^_^

terrible video....to start the program you have to double click on your current Tx sound file and add your new sounds to that file and resave as new name. if you do not it looks for the DX7 sound file. terrible software but it does seem to work once you get it started.

I registered my name and my usual passwords and then try to log in and it keeps saying incorrect password, so i retry obviously,same thing.I do the forgotten password thing-it gets sent to my email and obviously it shows what i keep trying to run through, all lowercase,no spaces-no damn reason.I email support and they said go back to website and try it again-jeezus christ-why does this have to be difficult! I just spent $650 on this dx9 black and im just trying to update the firmware and i fail to understand how this can be difficult at all-I dont have time for this bs
