Love my spiralizer! I use it with zucchini, carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes and even broccoli stalk!

I used mine for the first time tonight after it had been sitting in my garage and I’m extremely impressed. It’s staying in the kitchen from now on.

Oh man i just love how it does not leave a vegetable core in the middle like other spiralizers do!!! And it closes to get compact i'm tripping out i want ittttt!
@consumerwarrior3 жыл бұрын
Helpful hint: When putting food on the spiralizer, insert whatever it is on the blade side centering it on the core protruding from the blade and then pressing teeth on handle side against it. I didn't do this initially and it was a mess.

Just watched a "competition" YT between oster, bullet, KA and paderno; they did not seem to want to factor in patience *at all*. I've had my paderno since 2016 and initially resisted the concept: kept trying to make it into something it wasn't (like I could). Once I admitted to myself that the very reason I have come to enjoy using it is that it is 1) not electric 2) small and compact 3) and it does exactly what it says it will do if you don't fight with it like I initially did. For example: product coming out all over the place=put it on a nice big clean cutting board and scrape the product into container. Or: have trouble with size of vegetable? cut it in half (not trimmed as some do, although I will admit that one hack I use is trim to size and then stack the smaller pieces using the skewer tool. Do not underestimate the power of the skewer!) Another trick: keep a clean moist washrag close to wipe up liquids, and definitely wash/rinse everything right away. Careful of the blades!! Special bonus hack: when spiraling cucumbers, squeeze the liquid from the product into a container and use it with Kefir to make homemade yogurt drink. (I had enough product left from a salad to divert some busted-up cucumber, which is actually a bonus bonus.) Mix with a bit of salt. A.Ma.Zing.

Thank you for the demonstration - very helpful for how to use this, had watched another video for how to assemble :)

Okay confession time. I bought this years ago and it sat on the shelf. I was about to sell it, then I came back to this video again. I have since put it on my counter and I am going to make it a point to use it...

The one I got is extremely easy to set up. Slide the blade you want to use into the slot and slide the back part into the end. Not rocket science. I love the ribbon slicer for making cucumber salads but zucchini noodles are the best part of this. I lightly sautee my zoodles tho--so they absorb the marinara sauce better.

Does it come with a container that the spirallized vegetables fall into rather than onto the worktop surface ?

I am having such trouble getting the blade on and off- I can spend 1/2 hour- I am not spatially inclined-it doesn't pop well-I can't figure out how to do it easily, if someone can help I would appreciate it. And if someone could make a video ONLY about that showing how it works and where to touch it to slide it on and off I would be very thankful. Even when I do it once, I can't seem to repeat the process and I haven't found a video where the camera really shows the blade close up with insertion and taking out.

I have the 4 blade Paderno spiralizer. Here is what I did to create c cut sliced onions.I peeled a large red onion and trimmed the ends.Sliced a slit into one side of the onion, stopping near the center. Attached the 2.5mm Straight Blade to the slicer and cut the onion.It did a decent job upto a certain point and about 4-5 outer layers of the onion came loose, then I was only able to spiralize the inner part of the onion. I had to use a knife to slice those layers. Please suggest how to rectify this, where am I going wrong ?
@cherylblahut48265 жыл бұрын
You need to have as firm and straight a piece of vegetable as possible, for the least frustration. If the veggie (ie: zucchini) is not straight then it needs to be cut into manageable chunks, but then there is more pieces that are left over at the end.

I have a laminate worktop and tried to spiralizer celeriac, but the suction wasn't too good. What do you suggest for a laminate worktop to keep the unit stable?

What is the skinny rod on the top for? I didn't get a manual with mine.
@patriciapflum68984 жыл бұрын
It is used for poking a hole through the middle of the vegetable from one end to the other. Then you pull it out and put a thin wooden skewer through the same hole. Attach the veggie to the machine having the skewer go through the little tube in the slicer cutting blade. Turn the handle. The skewer will keep all the slices from falling apart. This would work great on a potato. Slice and deep-fry it.

Why have a unit that only cut only cucumber type vegetables not tomatoes are potatoes what's the purpose of having that Long Blade

Please show us how to put it together!!!!!! THEN your video will give us ideas for using it!!! The instructions for assembly are very inadequate...no list of the parts and photo describing its use! Lotta videos of the veggie use, but NO demonstration of putting it together like the three blade one...is it me?

can you use this as a mandoline?
@Williams-Sonoma8 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it does not work as a mandoline.
@carolhumphrey82987 жыл бұрын
It will accomplish the same thin slices as a mandolin if you do as the video suggests and make a slit halfway down one side of your vegetable. You will get perfectly even slices. You just can't adjust the thickness. I use it all the time to slice vegetables. Can't use a mandolin without slicing myself up.

This thing is a gigantic turd. It rarely actually “spiralizes” it just shreds little 2 inch cuts.
