Cover FTD Dementia sundowning which is violent. An open Bible on my lap the only thing that turned my angry growling fists clenched mother who wanted to harm me believing no one that you are her daughter nor grandchildren are family. Blankets over windows and doors helped. Best help behavioral meds. All knives put out of reach and sight. Door locks changed 4 times she destroyed much. Thankful for meds our only way forward.

Yup- all 'precious' bits of glass, china etc put away in locked cupboards where can't be seen, knives put away, electric kettle etc unplugged and switches for domstic appliances, like cooker top switched off at wall, phone on and fully charged in case I need serious help (twice so far),, anything he can get his hands on thrown at me or all over the floor and tramped over to grind stuff to powder, cupboards and drawers he CAN access violently emptied. Eventually he wears himself out (this can be 6 hours sometimes more)starts crying and wants to be cuddled and hugged and tucked up in bed.
