I was set to purchase the whole rig, compressor and hopper, but I called Graco and asked them what the DB rating was. I was shocked when they said it was 107 DB !!!! That seems crazy to me. That's loud enough to raise the dead.

Standing too close, plus you should let the mud set up a little longer before knocking it down. Curious, how many times did you have to fill that hopper in order to complete this project? Also what's the CFM rating of your compressor? Thanks.

@@gme10955 I like to knock it down immediately and I can't stand the look of texture that's set up for a little bit. It looks horrible. I was standing too close? Interesting. It's worked for me for two decades so I think I'll just keep shooting it this way. I would never purchase the Graco compressor. Refilled a few times, a gentleman with your experience should be able to look at the size of the hopper and tell that.

@@moderndayinteriorsandrenov4681 I've only used the one tip so far because I like the way it looks. I would be interested to know what your thoughts are of the Graco compressor setup. Too pricey for me. I used to have a big Kodiak texspray. Got tired of hauling it around myself! Sold it.
