I learn well from books, but somehow bobbin lace books either teach you the basics or advanced. They all just assume you know the inbetween stuff😅 I am stuck because I was taught how to start a very specific learners pattern, but there is zero info on how to start the rest of the patterns in the book and my next book also just shows the mid part of the patterns😅

Thanks for this video. I've been looking everywhere for a bookmark pattern that does not start on a point. Starting on a straight edge lets me make a bracelet instead. (At least that's the plan.) What if you made a cloth stitch band to start? I'm thinking cloth stitch bands on either end of the work gives me a place to sew them together or place a clasp.

Hi! Because I want to work that pair all the way across. It needs to be secured to all of the pairs across the top as I work it across, so that's how I place it in order to secure the next pair to it. Does that kinda make sense? ☺
