Anyone can start a clothing line, but when it comes to creating cohesive designs and branding elements, there are few people who truly understand what it takes. The creative process starts with really understanding what you’d like your brand to represent.
From there it takes some time to fully develop the concept and actually start designing art that your market will be familiar with. Sweet vid and heaps of tips.. from this I see I definitely try to cut corners on the beginning stages of the design process and reduce the amount of time I provide to laying the foundations. When I look for how to create a clothing line, I get how to do t-shirt designs. Major difference.

Its usually because its the first step to a clothing line. You usually start with prints and then move forward with cut and sew, etc. I get your point, too many brands focus on t shirt designs and stuck with it. I prefer to read books when trying to start a clothing line but youtube videos helps for trying to get you started from the ground up (no pun intended).

Yeah the longer and more I tried to put together my brand, the more I realized that I should start with a shirt. I had no plans to do a shirt, but it serves as a capital builder as well as getting your name out. Even if it's cut and sew.
