dark eldar is not the EVIL faction, they are chaotic neutral. They seems like evil only from human side, but eldar made themselves cursed and just trying to survive. Its evil to killing pigs for surviving? Terror and torturer just an adaptation, a mask so that no one can see the tears

Can you make a series of how to get started with each army with a codex? Like, give a list or two of things to get etc. I want to start mechanicum but not really sure how it plays and how to build a decent list. Having a reference helps me personally. I took your custodes list and tweaked it a little after few games in Tabletop Simulator.

I'd start with the transports, they're in most lists & look bad ass on the shelf. After that, I'd recommend starting with the most intricate models on your list. Dark Eldar is one of those armies that really shows off the time and effort you put into the pieces - like Demons, you can see the model and just "know" that "that guy paints good and he cared about that model" at first glance, not just when you notice the details

One thing for people looking to collect this army should be aware of is that a large portion of the models have been rotated out. You cannot but grotesques, mandrakes, beastmasters, all of the beasts, or any court of the archon models anymore.

To be fair, for Lelith you have to consider the fact she gets "master succubus" keyword right off the bat with no investment, enabling Hekatrix Bloodbrides to be deployed. That keyword is normally worth 15 pts. When you then consider the succubus base point cost (60 without the master keyword), Lelith(90 pts) is technically only paying 15 pts for all the additional abilities she gets, such as hit and wound rerolls vs. characters, upgraded consolidation move, enemy having -1 to melee hit and Natural Perfection (either advance/fall back + charge or fight again at the end of fight phase).

Dark Technomancers doesnt work with liquifiers any more. Aside from that one point its a fine vid. Drukhari are great to collect imho, because every unit is pretty much usable. So you can feel free to build what fits your mental image of what your army should be, and it will be perfectly playable. Lastly, there's decent scope for kitbashing/converting anything that looks elvish and in some cases undead (for Coven conversions). Slaanesh also has some suitable aesthetics to use... which i find hilarious if you know anything about Drukhari lore. The main downside, in a sense, is because the codex is regarded as being so strong, there's sometimes a perception of power gaming. It is what it is though.

They did say it was recorded before the Ad Mech codex release, so that was a short while ago, definitely before the recent FAQ that changed DT Liquifiers, amongst other things.

I've wanted to start a Drukhari army for years since seeing a Sslyth model back in 5th edition. Sadly they are expensive af and the newer Mandrake sculpts are Resin🤢

@@Tonberry88 Agreed, i refuse to buy the proper mandrakes due to the resin, despite liking the models. I used AoS Idoneth Namarti Thralls as my mandrakes. I think they look pretty cool. You just need to rebase them to 25mm as the box only comes with 32mm bases.

Rumor has it that they maybe getting a "Combat Patrol" box somewhat soon. So if you're really interested in building an army of Sisters, I would start by using BattleScribe to make some army lists and also think about picking up their new Codex that was just released this week in stores.

When in doubt, buy more Battle Sister Squad kits. You can never have enough since you can build bog standard Battle Sister squads, Dominion squads, and Celestian squads, but get enough and you can make a Retributor squad with the heavy bolters and heavy flamers you get and can make your own Canoness, Palatine, and Imagifier from the bits in there. As others have said there's is a Combat Patrol box coming and we're pretty sure it's simply going to be the contents of the Sisters Army Box from 2019 so ten Battle Sisters (Including a Storm Bolter, Flamer, and Simulacrum), four Repentia, three Arco-Flagellants, five Seraphim (All bolt pistols, plasma pistol and power sword on Superior), Penitent Engine, Repentia Superior, and Canoness. You're also probably gonna want a Rhino or two, Celestine, and for starters either the Immolator, Exorcist, or the Castigator whenever it releases.

I always like plying the underdog, and since I only recently started played 40k with a very large space drow army now, it’s almost not as exciting now that they are the best army inn the game now lol. @@bequakynskagroupie3751 There is some warp spaghettis in the lore where there are basically two angels in the warp that are fighting over the soul of the blood angels which represent different part of sanguineous via the nobility taught by sanguineous in begins like the sanguinor and the psychic backlash of the black rage from his death. They could in theory bring him back as an avatar if these warp entire inhabit the sanguinor basically bringing the two fracted halfs of sanguineous back together in one body. Plus I see GW bringing back all the primarch's eventually just not the big E, since money.

I too considered this. But I made a potential list on Battlescribe and found that two combat patrol boxes would be a great start. Then I could diversify with other troop types, fast attack unit, and elites. A fun and speedy army. Just a lot of painting.

Slaanesh’s only existing connection to the eldar is that it has a claim on (almost) every eldar soul once they die and return to the warp as a cruel reward of sorts for literally binging, fucking, and torturing it into existence. Say that to folks who picked them up long before the meta chasers. Not everybody who is currently playing the strongest army got there because they want to WAAC. I'm Aeldari main and have been collecting DE since early 8th where the only way to go was flyer spam and dissy ravagers. Still my drukhari force is over 3000 points and resembles the fluff as opposed to some hyper-tailored spikey beatstick.

You really like the models and the diversity of painting they provide, you love the playstyle of a hyper-mobile glass cannon and think the lore is badass (They are the ultimate bad guys in a galaxy of bad guys). Assuming that just because someone plays DE at current is because they are a meta-chaser is spiteful, unhelpful, and is a detriment to the WH40k society. If you're chasing the meta - buy DE, paint them, realise they are no longer the best army because of the time to assemble the whole army, then sell it for cheap on eBay so I can expand my ever-growing collection of Dark Kin.
