Certainly thought abt it, but I'm still working up an audience @w@ Only have just under 100 followers per platform average, and most of them seem to be younger. I mostly want a patreon to try out merchandize creation- use it as an excuse to get prints done and dip my toes in pin creation. Maybe a website would be a better way to go about this?

@@kelmirosue3251 I found that I have more fun making stickers wholesale for small local shops and at live markets. Consistently delivering new stickers to Patrons was a lot of work and I still have two part time jobs.

Thank goodness I found this video! I’ve been struggling with my Patreon recently and I realized I made too many promises which stressed me out every week plus balancing doing full render commissions. So I had to remove some benefits so I can work with what I’m strong at. Then I saw that some of my patrons left and it discouraged me. This video reminded me to keep pushing and keep getting better. The conversion rate really depends on the rewards and the type of social media you use. After restructuring I went from 1 in 600 to 1 in 200.

Dont be shy about advertising ur patreon, put tasteful ads everywhere , your default should be to mention it and it should be a very easy to find link, like easier than getting to ur profile page. I was doing that for months before I finally stopped getting the occassional message from patron saying they only just found out I had a patreon account. People dont mind the adds as long as you arent spamming, which is much harder to do than some ppl think.

4:59 my Patreon doesn't give me any option to add photos in my About section, just a video intro. Was this feature removed? I don't really want a video, but I have several nice photos I had taken I'd love to use in this area.

Very lovely video. I think this was presented more beautifully, than it had any right to. And of course a lot of valuable information for me, starting a very serious show soon, which is less intended to make money through ad stuff but to be crowd funded - it will be like a very demanding hobby for a long time though. One question about Patreon: It's awesome you can upload animated tier pictures, just the stuff I love to do. How do you use them though? Do you need to deliver an animated GIF file, or are they tiny videoclips?

Hi Mimi, I’m sure you get loads of questions and this may never get answered, but maybe someone else here can help with this one. What advice do you have for images, for example Tier images or any others in Patreon really? I’m asking because it’s a bit frustrating to illustrate something really cute and upload it only to find it appears cropped or blurry in Patreon. The Patreon guidelines for images are a bit confusing and not super helpful, and I wonder if for Tier images specifically whether they need to be designed in a vector format or if one can just create a Procreate canvas for example that works for this platform. Very nice video! I have a question - How do you deal with it, as a creator, when someone cancels their membership? I mean, it can be de-motivating and frustrating if someone declines their support on your Patreon! It's not like new fans just grow back just so! Or maybe they are? Is it a constant run after new patrons and fans because people can cancel their pledge and you have to make new patrons faster than some other Patrons cancel? What are your experiences as creator? So you're only using other socials to convert and no advertising as such... unless you're advertising on other socials or buying followers to convert your 0.01% you can advertise with the times news paper and get a 1% conversion rate for courses... and you don't mention anything about fellow patreons and referrals
