An easier way to get the 64x64 lot is to just: 1. Move into an empty lot 2. Use your phone to move household 3. Choose the new lot 4. Choose to move in+demolish all 5. Congrats you now have a massive lot with less hassle than the manage world's version

an added challenge i gave my founder was that (if you have the uni pack) she couldnt get a job until she had graduated university. so for 3 weeks in game she had to scavenge for things and breed frogs just to get a little box house she could live in until she got her diploma and a very high paying job. it pays off in the end!

The main rule I break is that I move the family every generation or so. I tend to play one save file and there are so many amazing worlds and lots I can’t limit myself to one. I also like to build so once the family has money I build a new house or do a major overhaul every generation. 🎉

it’s so unfortunate that moving resets your generation streak. I’m doing a generational challenge that has goals for 50 gens and I doubt I’ll even get that far, but if I DID play my founder’s bloodline through 100 generations, I’d feel like I’d deserve to get the legendary legacy achievement. but you can only get it if you don’t move out of the lot your founder started on. I’m sorry but who is wanting to play for 100 generations on the same lot lol, wish they had a way of continuing to track the streak even if your sims move

Usually I just choose an aspiration based solely on the bonus trait and then I change the aspiration once out of cas because the trait doesnt go away.

I actually like the aspiration that comes with the Star Wars pack because it gives the Prepared Voyager trait that replenishes needs a bit when travelling between any lots. That gives a huge leg up in any challenge where you don't have any way to fill your basic needs early on.

I honestly just play a non-challenge legacy. Mostly start with a married pair, or couple, or single sim. Just idylic living not tied to any rules

I always like to use the lot by the lounge in brindleton bay on the bottom left because you kinda have a good, large space that isn’t too big, and you kinda aren’t locked into a certain build style when trying to build a house, because that might annoy people if their house is different form the rest of the neighborhood (me) so I think that is a great spot to build in.😊

Love the Legacy Challenge! Have been playing them since Pinstar initiated it for the Sims 2. Love the beginning of the challenge so much that I have yet to actually complete one, lol. Potion Permit is fun, but a bit too grindy imo. There gets to a point where every day is more or less the same because you either don't have enough materials or money to get to the next area.

I have a question if anyone can help me out, Ive never played the sims ever even though ive been wanting to play for a while, so im thinking about fixing up my old laptop so i can download it and play. Ive watched lots of sims 4 legacy challenges and I really want to try it out, but do you need to download any certain packs to be able to do the legacy challenge? Or can you just do it without any extra packs? If you do need to download any packs, can you recommend the ones i should download or that would make my gameplay more interesting or fun. Thank you 💘

You don't need to download any packs. You can do the challenge with just the base game if you want to! If you really want to get some packs then Seasons and Parenthood would be the two I'd recommend the most as they add a lot to the challenge.

Another thing you could’ve done is guarding the cheap werewolf bed and the werewolf push so they can actually have children and you can get the cheapest fridge cheapest toilet and shower and then you’ll be able to afford that woo hoo push and still have 305 simoleons left even with the easel

Im not a fan of the $1800 limit combined with the completely barren lot. It doesnt make much sense to me and feels more like a rags to riches-legacy than a true to life family-legacy. It makes sense, if youre moving into a starter home, to have such limited funds, but having your founder essentially be homeless, or "camping" on their newly acquired land just doesnt _quite_ feel like an accurate narrative. I like the idea; for the founder to move into a small starter house on a smaller lot, begin skill-building, make friends in the neighborhood, find a job, start dating until they find the right Sim, and shortly after they get married (once theyve had a week or two to build a bit of income), thats when theyll purchase a new (large size) lot, and start building a small family home, which will grow in size over the years as the family gets bigger and new generations become the matriarchs/patriarchs of the family. I like the story element of it that the founding couple are building their new lives together, it kinda fits with the idea of building a family legacy that you would only start building that legacy when you start building the family, so while the original Sim is still single, I see that as a kind of story-prep. I like the idea mentioned by another commenter, that they put their starter Sim through University first (if you have that pack), because it provides another path of opportunity regarding who your Sim meets & befriends, who they become, and who they ultimately marry.
