I really recommend doing a spreadsheet/google document of all the lore, just having a bible can be really helpful. You probably have it but seeing you come up with stuff in the spot is making me nervous 😅 I think I would also just really enjoy seeing a whole lore video once you finish it, it sounds really fun to watch

Yess, I have a note in my phone full of save plans. It’s split up by each town, with each neighborhood in each town having its own section. It is SO helpful, mapping out what you’re going to build where and the Sims that will live there makes such a big difference. It’s also great for remembering ideas, since I can just pull out my phone and write it down if I have one. I build all over the place now, just wherever I feel inspired to, but the first town I did (Windenburg) I did on its own without planning at all and it turned out decent but I honestly can tell it wasn’t planned out properly. It’s the only town I’ve finished so far (except for Magnolia Promenade but that doesn’t really count since it’s only 4 lots) but I can already tell the towns I’m working on now are gonna be way better when they’re done. I could never go back to only planning in my head. And yes, I would also like to see a full lore video when it’s finished!

If you’re worried about the park looking “dead” make sure you have hidden objects so you can get the debug particles and stuff for the outdoors to make it feel more alive and magical

I really love the building videos, the lore videos, any of it really. The whole process is cool to watch. I love the idea of Berdie having beef with the mayor. The only ideas i have for the mayor is he lives alone up in Courtyard Lane, maybe his wife divorced him and got custody of their child, which i think he would have maybe one son? Grumpy, conservative, old man vibes.

hii was watching the part where you put the book in the hallway and (as far as i can tell at least) it is a hallway that sims can access. so knowing how this game works, sims will probably grab this book, read it and put in all sorts of random places, so i think you should consider moving it to somewhere where it is inaccessible to sims, so the only players can hover over it and read the description :)

I've been loving these videos so much and it's been inspiring me to start my own lore save file. I wanted to recommend the Longer Titles and Descriptions Mod by Your False Hope which brings up almost all description limits from 140 characters to 1000. Also Ravasheen has a tripod under their "Dont Lose Focus" mod that works with the camera you're using, and has been a lifesaver in my save!!

Open air museums of old building are quite common in Europe, it’s a great way to keep the history alive. They are called “skanzeny” in Czech and i definitely recommend visiting some, they have quite old buildings in as Well; also oni on Bygdoy in Norway is beautiful and quite big!

I have an idea for the mayor I don't think it's perfect I think it's something so basically you're talking about how in the save file their people complaining about how the mayor is like renovating the town so i think the mayor could be obsessed with trying to make Willow Creek like the number one tourist spot or something like that and basically just being a person who's trying to turn it into a popular town and also like trying to make it like kind of gentrified like destroying a lot of old buildings that have like historical relevance or just shuting down small businesses that have building because I don't know he wants to build some Spa there or something that is popular I don't know this idea is perfect but i think it's something

Willow Creek being New Orleans never made any sense to me because the weather and scenery is so off. Something that annoys me about S4 is that they never really lean into worlds like they used to. Like Twinbrook was very Louisiana to me, for example and it made building a world so much easier. They have gotten better at it with worlds like Chestnut Ridge where the theme is very consistent and obvious but older worlds like San Myshuno, Willow Creek etc are just a hodgepodge and a mess. Your ideas for the world seem really interesting 😀 I like the idea of an expanded founders town. A place that was designed to be smaller in community but has grown larger and now there's a contrast between the size and that small town mentality.
